2025 Tungsten - Good/Bad

The map is online but it’s mainly Interstate highways or a handful of other divided , limited access highways.
Right. try it in a rural area like mine. I'm going to try it on multiple roads where I can actually engage cruise for a period.

The hands-on ADA works. It’s not great but it works. The hands free works better when it works
Completely agree. My wife's car has active driver assistance - 2022 X5. It works much better than the Ram's. Her X5 doesn't have the hands free though.

It may be just me, but I feel like the hands-on assist allows crabs to the center line. I find myself over-riding it, and pulling to the left. It can over-correct sometimes, too, and it seems like it's aggressively pulling to the center after a curve, which could scare anyone coming the other way. I think it's not as noticeable when it's in hands-free mode since there's no oncoming traffic. But it does seem to center in the lane much better. Just my experience. In any case, I've used it so little that I still have a big pucker factor and keep my hands close to the wheel.

You are probably aware already but I was not at first. I love how the hands free driving works and it works quite well. I didn't find out until later than it only works on pre-approved highways. If it isn't an interstate it probably won't work. At least it doesn't in my area.
But does hand free actually let you sit back and drive hands free or tell you after a few minutes to get hands on the wheel and if you don't, it goes to default driving no hands free?

It's legit hands free but you have to keep your eyes on the road. A camera is watching you and it will alert you if your eyes drift for too long.

The Ram I have will not allow you to drive hands free after a short period even if you stare at the road in front of you only blinking!

Are you sure it said hands free driving with the green lights on each side of the cluster when you engaged it? Sounds like you were using assisted driver assist instead. Hands free is hands free unless there is construction zone or similar and it can't see the lines well. Then it will return to ADA for a time. I drove with mine engaged for a couple of hours hands free when I drove home from Mark Dodge in LA.

I drove most of a 200 mile trip with it on. It works amazingly well.

Well since I have not that many miles it maybe you're correct, and I missed that. I will check it out for the green bars. Never paid that much attention....Thanks for the heads up.

Agree.

It's pretty smart. I pretended to fall asleep by tilting my head and squinting my eyes. It violently vibrated my *** and didn't let me turn on hands free again for like 20 minutes 😂 true story...
LOL....That's too too funny!! I think me not been on the right road.

The cluster, and the HUD (if you have it configured right), will show the status of hands-on or hands -off. It shows a steering wheel with either hands on it, or hands having near the wheel (but not on it).
