2025 Ram 1500 Current Owners - Discussion, Feedback, and Problems

I’m pretty sure the limited does in fact have all of that

Yes. As far as I know SPAAK is standard equipment on a Limited. He doesn't have a sig that says what truck he has and I keep failing to notice his screen name when I reply... lol!

When I got mine, the dealer had a packet in a big manila envelope that had my truck's owners manual, 2 key fobs, and a small manila envelope with the credit card key. If anyone bought a Limited and didn't get the credit card key, I'd be back to the dealer demanding my key or its replacement.

Side note: I was surprised that I got 2 key fobs. For some reason, I thought I would only be getting 1 key fob and then the 1 credit card key. I think I even said something like that to the dealer and they said "yes, you only get 1 key fob". But then we turned up the envelope and a second key fob came out - and they both do work on my truck.

When I bought my truck it had been at another dealer close by. Initially they only had the one key FOB but had the other one delivered to them a few days later to save me the drive there. That may be where the key card is. I didn't even know it was a thing until reading this forum. The dealer didn't say anything, and may not have known. Either way, I don't need it.

How's everyone feel about 2026 model getting 10 year 100000 warranty.

Some companies that push their long best in the business warranties as a main selling point are junk, ie Mahindra tractors and Vortex scopes. Both of those items you need complete confidence that they will work in the field ( kinda like a truck ), but you realize after some time that you were fooled thinking maybe longer warranty equates to quality.

This of course does not apply to all things with great warranties, and I hope Ram is concentrating more on fixing issues, rather than fixing perceptions.

What hard trifold does everyone recommend for the ‘25? I got a rough country soft trifold some months ago, not in love with it. Doesn’t lay flat, want to go something more low profile. Was looking at the gator fx, but wanted to see what fit well for others

Just slapped on a Gator Hard Tri-Fold cover. Love it!!!

Well... :( :( :(

I bought my brand new '25 Limited less than 1 month ago. I drive it almost every day. Already have over 2K miles on it.

I just went out to get some lunch and run by the bank and my truck was totally dead.

I got out my voltmeter. The main battery is just under 5V. The backup battery is just under 2V.

I have jumper cables. A neighbor drove up, so I asked them to let me try to jump it off their running car.

When I hooked up the cables, my truck came to life. It started sounding the alarm, the power step extended, etc.. But, when I tried to start it, the dash would just go black.

So, now I have hooked up a charger to it - the only one I have, which is a smart charger for my motorcycle batteries. The display showed it starting to charge at 0.8A or something like that.

I'm supposed to leave town tomorrow for a road trip to go scuba diving. Arrgghh. And my local dealer seems to be ALWAYS backup up 2 to 3 weeks in the service department.

And no, I don't have a single accessory in the truck (except a tonneau cover). Headlights are set on Auto (not that that should matter - they are supposed to auto-off anyway, I think).

I drove it yesterday evening. Got home around 9:30, locked it and went inside. Absolutely no reason it should be dead now.

QUESTION:

There are written instructions on the actual battery cover. It says if the battery is too dead to start it, jump it to the main battery. But, if it's too dead to jump start, then charge both batteries. Okay, so which one do I charge first?

I have put the charger on the main battery for now. What does the backup battery even do? I would have thought it would be for the express purpose of preserving enough charge to start the truck even if the main battery goes totally dead. But, I guess not....?

It’s responsible for doing all the electronic functions while the truck is off (or auto stopped) including, proximity approach, but also, running the radio, fan, etc while auto stopped. With the intent of preventing what’s happened to you

There has been discussion that proximity approach is causing the double dead battery issue.

So, I called Roadside Assistance. 800-521-2779

Apparently, that is farmed out to a 3rd party. They took my VIN, looked things up, and told me that that VIN is not coming up as my truck. They found me and, according to them, I still own my '21, not this '25. I traded the '21 in for the '25.

They said they can only send help if I pay for it and then apply to get reimbursed.

Apparently, the dealer has not yet updated the Mopar system to show me as the owner of my truck - even though I have already received an updated registration slip from the state of South Carolina.

The 3rd party RA rep asked if I wanted to speak to someone at Stellantis. I said yes. She forwarded my call and someone from Stellantis RA answered. I went through the whole process again. Provide VIN, name, etc..

She said she was sending a tow truck. I got a text message confirming my RA case with Stellantis. She hung up.

Then I get a text - immediately - that says: "Stellantis: We noticed that you started a roadside assistance request. If you still need service, please calls uat +18005212779 Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to end msgs."

Really?!?! I just called for a tow and you immediately are making me call again to confirm I need a tow? You're going to cancel my tow if I don't call and confirm I still need it?!?!?

I called the 800 #. The person who answered basically said "we're sending you a tow truck. We'll text you when we find a provider." Like, I actually did not need to call at all.

Arrrghhh!!!!

I tried to call the dealer. I asked for Brian, the manager. "He's out until Monday."

I asked for Ruben, the finance guy. They said okay and forwarded my call. It rang for about 3 minutes. Nobody ever picked up. It never went to voicemail. I hung up.

I have texted Delano, the COO. No response yet.

What a flustercluck!
