2025 Ram 1500 Current Owners - Discussion, Feedback, and Problems

As a side note, when I bring my truck in next week for them to do the approach lighting STAR and replace my TMU and investigate the quiet crunchy noise in the front end going slowly over bumps, they’re also going to lubricate/or something my mirrors because they squeak on the fold/unfold 😕.
Forgive me.... I've been trying to keep up, but I think I missed something. Approach lighting STAR? Is there a Tech Bulletin or something for this now?

They’re creating the case for one using my truck 😁
Sweet! You'll be a Unicorn, too! ;) . I'll be eagerly waiting to hear about this. After hearing about those that do have it working seem to have battery issues, I'm not sure I want to deal with that too. But it would be nice if they can get this working the way it's supposed to.
I hope it's as simple as facing East, bowing three times, and chanting something to the Ram Gods.

It’ll prolly involve a sacrifice of some sorts…

Fall on my sword time -
A while back we were talking about CarPlay and the ability to be alerted to new texts. I was having an issue where I got nothing other than a little red dot badge on the messages icon. The only other option seemed to be having the entire message read aloud (not a smart option for many of us).
Today…. It worked. I got my normal “ding” or “whoosh” when a new text came in.
I was thrilled! And then my wife casually says “ya well, do you the phone mute turned off?” Ahem…. Maybe…. That did it. I normally have the phone muted. So it seems so obvious now. And honestly I thought I tried this before.
Anyhow - thought I’d share.

I didn't know about the approach lighting thing until I read mention here.

Mine doesn't work.

Then my buddy that just got a new '25 also mentioned it and he said he tested his and it didn't work either .... UNTIL he tried it when it was sufficiently DARK outside. He has concluded that it just doesn't work unless it is dark enough outside. Iownknow!

I haven't gotten to test mine again when it was truly DARK around my truck.

Really?
Ok- I’ll give it a shot later

That’s a setting in CarPlay that’ll unmute your phone while connected to CarPlay and remute when disconnected. Occasionally, the remute doesn’t work.

That’s not a thing. It’s a glitch.

On the phone? I just looked thru the CarPlay settings in General, and then the Bluetooth settings for the truck. I don’t see it.
Probably right in front of me….

In the truck. I googled for you because I didn’t want to run out to the truck 😂

I'm curious if anyone else's truck doesn't lock when driving; it's my understanding that the truck is supposed to lock the doors at approximately 15 mph. My truck (2025 1500 Laramie) does not. I have the option in UConnect to have the doors autounlock when placed into park and the driver's door is opened but the setting to have the door automatically lock when driving is not present.

To add further annoyance to the situation, I'm almost 100% sure that the truck automatically locked when I initially test drove it, as the sales guy decided to put more gas in it and was locked in the back seat until I unlocked the doors; I certainly didn't lock the doors before we got to the gas station, so the behavior seems to have changed between my test drive and me taking delivery of the truck.

There’s a TSB I posted in this thread that fixes the doors not locking. #1396
