2025 Ram 1500 Current Owners - Discussion, Feedback, and Problems

It does seem overly “restrictive” the way they limit the customization. They have pages and pages of other stuff. We all know how easy it would be to provide “advanced” settings. I wouldn’t mind having to dive deeper into a menu to make all of these choices (as long as they are persistent). Most folks would likely never even want to deviate from the defaults - and that’s perfectly fine. But having the option to adjust…would significantly increase the customer satisfaction for at least a few of us PITAs.

Yes! I would also really like to just be able to set my side mirrors to automatically fold in whenever I turn the truck off, and, of course, fold back out when I start the truck.

I shouldn't have to buy an aftermarket "programmer" thing to do that.

Uh… there is a setting for that

Yes, but, it’s a balance between being a software company and being a vehicle company. If you haven’t noticed, they really don’t pour resources into the software side all that much.
Which is a shame because vehicles are more and more becoming computers on wheels

It would be far more useful to ME if I could have my ventilated seat come on on High every time I start the truck.

It comes on on Low if it's warm out. If it's not warm, then it doesn't come on at all. I wish it would either come on wherever I had it when I turned the truck on last, or let me set it so that when it comes on automatically, it comes on on High, instead of always only on Low.

It takes me about 3 button taps to do that every time I start my truck.

The Auto Stop/Start button is right by the engine start button. If I cared and hit it every time I started the truck, that would still be way less "work".
This! On my Ford it just does whatever was on last time I turned the truck off or if I remote start it defaults to high. With no physical buttons to easily adjust the levels it drives me bonkers.
On a side note, with my truck screen currently not registering touches, I figured out I can use voice controls to turn the ventilated/heated seats on. “Turn on ventilated seat” turns it on high.

Still with the janky screen??!!

2019 RAM LImited, been "sagging" on passenger side, especially rear. had to tow to dealership bc no other mechanics could find the issue/leak other than a few days ago was told it was "dry", no Nitro. Dealership found both rear air springs were leaking. will replace parts & nito, plus labor at the tune of $3,100 & hope they don't find anything else. Insane no other mechanic found this. Anyone else have this issue?

Maybe, but this is a 2025 thread

So, different than my Ford… on the ford the mirrors folded on lock/unlock. On the Ram they fold on lock/start 🤷🏻‍♂️
It was a handy “did I lock the truck” visual queue. On the Ram, if you go back to get something from the truck, they won’t unfold

I was expecting them to fold when I turned the engine off. I was surprised that they didn't until I locked it.

I guess it all saves wear and tear on the mirrors folding and unfolding more than necessary...

Well this isn't fair. You got what you wanted and I am still dealing with the auto start stop button. This is BS! :cautious:

As a side note, when I bring my truck in next week for them to do the approach lighting STAR and replace my TMU and investigate the quiet crunchy noise in the front end going slowly over bumps, they’re also going to lubricate/or something my mirrors because they squeak on the fold/unfold 😕.
