2025 Ram 1500 Current Owners - Discussion, Feedback, and Problems

Mark Dodge is a dealership in Lousiana and they sponsor this website. They specialize in out of state sales and are the largest Ram dealership by volume. I recently purchased a 2025 Limited from them and they gave me $14k off msrp. No local dealer would get anywhere close. If you're in the market for a new Ram and want an amazing price, contact @AnthonyRI

Is that a local dealership and therefore is only an added bit of confusion with zero relevance for the rest of us, or, is it some well-known modder like Roush that I never heard of?
Mark Dodge is well known on this forum and is a large volume dealer in Louisiana that sells and help arrange shipping to any part of the country. I never purchased from them, but they were more than willing to give me a quote and communicate with me. I am NJ and local dealership don't come anywhere near MD prices. Anthony from MD is a forum member and a frequent poster in the "Price negotiated from MSRP" thread. Lots of forum members have expressed positive experiences dealing with purchasing from Mark Dodge (MD). I don't think I ever hear anything negative about them.

Yep -- well said.

Has anyone had an issue with the sliding center console tray being hard to slide? I noticed mine is hard to slide might be because it was only 13 degrees out this morning but I never had that issue on my 2019. Can the tracks be lubricated?
Yeah that’s normal, especially in the cold. Once the tray wears in more it’ll be easier to slide.

I purchased a 2025 1500 big horn level 1 equipment group 3 weeks ago. Overall I like the pickup. So far just under 700 miles.

Issues:
1. Low windshield washer fluid warning comes on sometimes. It's full
2. Two times now, when in park, the exhaust note pulses. However, the RPMs don't pulse. After driving again for a short time, it goes away when in park again.
3. Kinda has a rough ride compared to rams I've had in the past.
4. Over slightly aggressive bumps, there is a clunk from the rear. Not sure if it's the spare tire or the tailgate. There is a little vertical play on the tailgate.

I have not brought it in to the dealership for anything yet.
3. I wonder if this is due to the tire pressure. Factory minimums are 45 rear and 55 for front. After putting new K/o 3 AT tires the tire shop only put 35 psi in tires and it was perfect but I kept getting a warning about low tire pressure so I had them inflate to factory specs and it rides much more rough now.

No idea how some of ya'll are getting such great gas mileage out of the 2025 3.0 SO. I guess I just dont keep my foot out of it. I am barely over 15.00 in my Rebel, regardless of how I drive it. Right at 2,000 miles on the odometer.

Anyone figured out an easy fitting grill lights for a 2025 Rebel ? It was easy on the 2023 as the little round amber Amazon lights fit right into the grill. Have not seen anyone figure out anything for the new style Rebel grills. Any suggestions ?

The slight lift and level plus off-road tires increase drag quite a bit. Add the 3.92 ratio, and you’ve dropped highway mpg a lot. The extra weight hurts mpg around town too. Every rebel has been like that pretty much, whether Hemi or SSO.

Well I pulled the trigger on the CAI. Found a great cyber Monday deal and I’m dying to modify something. I don’t leave my trucks stock and there’s little available yet for the ‘25. Should be a fun little project. I’ll post pics when it’s installed.
Please update us after you install it, I am going to get one if it helps you hear the turbos more I love that sound haha.

Is this K&N CAI? I'm waiting for the S&B CAI. The release is scheduled for early 2025. Reviews and the product look super nice.

Just checked and my CAI hasn't shipped yet. I also just ordered the Rough Country 3.5 lift with the M1 struts and shocks. I guess I'll just stop whining about the fuel economy now haha. I'll post pics of everything as it comes along.

So to update my prior sorry-state-of-gas mileage, after my Laramie ticked over 3000 miles, the fuel economy (both dash indicated and hand calculated) as improved to about 20.5mpg combined. I do not know why, but it is very clear that something changed in the fuel mapping. Maybe a break-in period programmed into the ECU? Maybe the last flash? Maybe the colder weather? Maybe a change in gas ethanol content for winter?

Mine (2025 Laramie) is slowly going in the opposite direction. When new, the truck was consistently showing me about 20mpg average. Now it has slowly been decreasing and it's at 18.8 mpg average. This is based on the dash display and if I do the math myself, it's usually a .2 lower than what is displayed on the dash. I suspect the colder weather and winter fuel for the drop.

Do the new 2025 Rams that have start /stop also have a 48v battery behind the passenger seat like the 2024 and earlier eTorque engines? Can S/S be disabled?

No, no eTorque on 2025. old school starter

The eTorque Pentastar V6 likely does. The TT Hurricane, does not.
As far as I know, only on a trip basis with the button

The pentastar is etorque, with the battery. The Hurricane, is not.
Not tracking the eTorque comparison here. eTorque doesn't have start/stop aux batteries, hence the 48v system and a generator. The Pentastar w/o eTorque has a aux battery (at least this was all the case in the Wrangler --- maybe it was different in a Ram?)

I’m confused by what you said.
eTorque uses a motor/generator instead of a starter and to provide a torque boost at lower end for the engine. To be a motor (starter and torque booster) it uses a 48v battery (in the 1500, it was behind the seats).
That’s eTorque in a nutshell.
The 2025 1500 V6 Pentastar, is an eTorque engine and will function the same as the Hemi did, likely with the same stop/start.

The 3.0 I6 Hurricane also has a stop/start, but uses the starter to restart. But, there’s also an auxiliary battery under the hood for the electronics while the engine is off, to take strain off of the main battery and to prevent the main battery from slowly draining.

I’m not sure if we’re saying the same thing

eTorque motors, at least in the 3.6 variety in a Wrangler, do not have a secondary aux. battery for start/stop. Where as non-eTorque 3.6's in a Wrangler do have a secondary aux battery.
