2025 Ram 1500 Current Owners - Discussion, Feedback, and Problems

I’m glad to be back in a Ram. Just picked up a 2025 Lone Star today with the level 2 package. So far I like it. Miss the hemi rumble a bit but this thing can move. Drove home about 40 miles and was averaging 23.2mpg per the truck.

I was hoping some of the parts were interchangeable but now I’m seeing some might not be.
How fast and what speed and how far?

Also have been looking for floor mat upgrades. Weather tech and Husky have yet to come out with a 2025 version, but TuxMat listed it on their site. I got them today and the drivers side mat does not allow for the driver side footrest, which must be a change from 2024. Driver mat does not lay flat and flexes when you put a foot on it. I am waiting to hear back from TuxMat. Hoping I can keep the passenger and rear and they will send me a new drivers side when it is available.
Question, does RAM make the rubber floor mats for the 2025 model year yet?
I have the RAM rubber floor mats in my truck and am glad that my truck, came with them my truck is(Nused).
If the rubber mats designed for the 2025 fit as well as the 2019-2024 models, I would recommend the RAM rubber mats.
Based on my experience they are very functional, and work very well at containing sloppy weather residue/mud, and are easy to clean.

If I could/would order a new truck, I would get the factory mats, and order the rubber mats for actual use, and save the fancy carpet for guests/resale.

yes, I have them in my 2025. I had them in my 2019 and I thought they were much better then the Weathertech and some other brands so I got them again.

Awesome and yep, love them. No idea why anyone would consider anything else when they fit perfectly and are priced right...OEMs have certainly upped their game in this area.

I also have the OEM rubber mats. But if I didn't, I think I like the TuxMats. And it looks like they have it for the 2025s.

I ordered the TuxMats and even though they say they are for the 2025, they do not conform to the dead pedal. They fit OK, but there is a void in the transition next to the dead pedal which may wear after a bit. l reached out to them and waiting to hear back. See my earlier post for pics.

My guess is they never actually test for themmon a 25, and just assumed it was the same as the 19-24 models

I am looking to get some power running boards for my 2025 RAM Quadcab. We used the vehicle in the sand for surf fishing. Will there be a problem with the sand and the boards. What are the ones we should be looking at? Need the lower step that the power boards have for ease of entrance for older folks.

Just came back from a 400 mile road trip. Averaged out 22.1 per the lieometer. That was giving anywhere between 70-85mph. Above 75 thru 83 is where MPG’s were really bad. Above that seems to get a bit better again.

Thanks, let me know how they work once you install them.
I went with the GTR's, and Headlight Revolution matched the price on the Morimotos. $120 plus tax for 2 sets and they shipped them free. They look great! Bright as eff, and no errors. Was going to do the fronts too, but you gotta be a midget or contortionist with mini-hands to get down in there. I gave up trying to figure it out, and quit. I used Lasfit T3 7443 bulbs for the reverse lights, got em on Amazon for $49.99, and they're really bright too. I'm happy.

The RAM power tow mirrors are rated as some of the best. They redesigned them for the 2025 so they aren't the moose mirrors anymore. They are power extending, power folding, pretty much power everything. Even the blind spot mirror I adjustable.
I have the new tow mirrors on mine, and I hate them. They are directly in the line of vision if you're pulling out from a stop sign, and you have to crane your neck to see around them for traffic coming from the right. A royal pain in the butt. I know it's probably old news, but the right mirror sticks out an inch farther than the left mirror does. Why, I have no clue.

I had the tow mirrors on my F150 and do not want tow mirrors on a half ton ever again.
As great as they make looking behind you, it’s equally as awful as they making looking ahead, giving a huge blind spot as you said.

Only if I pulled an 8.5’ wide travel trailer frequently would I go back. Boats and utility trailers and TTs under 28 foot the standard mirrors are fine.

I have standard mirrors and I prefer them. The small blind spot mirrors in the corner, a camera on the back of my trailer, and a little common sense work just fine for me. I agree, if I had a 2500 or bigger I'd want them, but they just seem too much on a 1500.

So I have been trying to figure out exactly what I ordered on my truck in regards to mirrors as it seems that Ram website has very inconsistent photos. I specifically ordered the Black Power-Fold Trailer-Tow Mirrors and the picture shows the mirrors that pivot up from the corner. They are a $795 upcharge. When I select the night edition package it mentions automatic power folding mirrors but I don’t know what is different about those (if any). However, I’ve been seeing pictures and hearing about the all new trailer tow mirrors for 2025 but don’t know if those are what I ordered or what? Can you tell me what option, if any, you selected to get your tow mirrors? I have them on my F150 and love them. I know they aren’t for everyone but I think I’d prefer them. Any info is appreciated.

I just did a 473 mile road trip, trip meter said 25.5 mpg, hand calculated to 23.9 mpg. Not to bad tried to keep it around 73 on the highway but had several backup's along the way with stop and go, so could have been higher.

That is pretty good!
my 3rd tank - Avg speed 70 up and down the mountain rd. Few miles at 80+

450 miles/22.5 gallons
truck indicated 20.1. Hand calc was 19.9
91 octane
The best-case scenario is 2 MPG better than the Hemi, with the same route and speeds. Overall not a significant improvement over the 5.7 Hemi.
Only with 200 or so miles so far in city stop/go, the avg is maybe 2 mpg more than the Hemi.

Yeah, this hurricane engine is getting good MPG's. If I would have kept it below 75 on my last trip to Midland from DFW, I would have been somewhere around 25ish. I was doing 75-85 and still achieved 22mpg's.

I have the same color truck as yours, but mine is a Lone Star. I didn't want all the fancy-ness on this one and so far I'm in love. Does your truck have the sport package? I really want that hood on my truck and have been considering buying one and getting it painted!

Yes my truck has the sport package on it, I do like the hood. I almost got a big horn again but this lower spec laramie had everything I wanted.
