2025 Ram 1500 Current Owners - Discussion, Feedback, and Problems

Been over 4 weeks now that my truck has been at the dealer in the shop. They are waiting on a part that includes the sensors for the transmission. At least I have the Grand Cherokee loaner.
212a mobil 1 extended performance best filter out there

Alright I've got a strange one, and hopefully it's not an RF hub. The buttons on my remote are doing nothing, the light on the remote flashes when I hit a button but no response from the truck.

Other than the buttons not working everything else (touching the door handle to unlock, touching the indent on the door handle to lock, start the truck) all works totally normal. Even when you touch the door handle the remote lights up to acknowledge that you've unlocked the truck.
So you didn't get the "no key fob detected" message when trying to start the truck when this was happening as well?

It's EXTREMELY frustrating that RAM has not fixed this issue that has been going for years now. I know others have had it happen on years older than 24', but my 24' Limited did this, and now my 25' Tungsten just had it happen last Friday!!!! WTF

Nope, truck acted totally normal besides not being able to hit buttons on the remote. A battery disconnect seemed to fix the issue.

My first tow with my 25.
Honestly from the seat of my pants!! I can't tell a great diff with my 2019 Hemi
I got 14 MPG towing a 6000 lb+ trailer/cargo - mostly downhill.
The power is great, and so was my Hemi.
The MPG diff is negligible.
3.92 gears, etc. etc. -- same truck with a diff engine.

Quick history. Just got the truck last month. Drove it around for a few weeks to break it in, then took it on a 3000 mile road trip to Oklahoma and back last weekend . Drove it a couple of times since then around town. Wanted to keep the miles down, so then I parked it last Sunday night and let it sit there for 6 days. Friday night, I tried to take it again, but the doors wouldn't unlock. Took the key out of the fob to open the door, popped the hood, brought my jeep over to jumpstart it. Nope, Key fobs not detected. Tried touching the fob to the start button, still says key not detected. Same thing with the other fob. Called assistance. Battery analyzer I had said both batteries were malfunctioning.

Had to drag it onto the tow truck 😪 because they couldn't release the brake

We have had our '25 1500 SST Laramie since July and are now at 2600-miles or so. So far it has been a less than happy experience as we've had it back in for:
  • Front Sensor unavailable (dealer said a bad ground wire in the connector, so they spliced one in  instead of replacing the harness)
  • Miss-fire codes P03xx - twice, first time they blamed it on 87octane gas and cleared the codes, the second time the PCM flash became available. So far so good?
  • Passenger window auto-up not working - twice, first time they needed to order parts. Waited several weeks to parts to come it, but then it didn't fix the issue. Second time, so far so good
  • Front parking sensor intermittently inactive - dealer claimed to fix it, but still struggling with intermittent functionality
  • Surging/stumbling intermittently at low RPM - dealer couldn't replicate, so no action
  • Dead battery - they blamed an accessory cable connected into the 12v dashtop socket, but nothing was connected to the cable. The device (dash cam) was inside the house.
    • One thing I noticed last night after the truck had been sitting for several hours. I happened to walk by and I heard a click-swish like the fuel pump priming or releasing. Way too long after we parked it for it to be drawing power from the battery (IMO)
Then there is the stuff that is not living up to the window-sticker:
  • Fuel economy on highway is nowhere near the published 21mpg and is actually sitting around 18mpg (makes me wonder what other numbers are misleading... like hp?)
  • Dealer directive to use premium fuel in hot weather and to avoid misfires
So far, we've been without our truck for almost 19days out of the last 4months and we now have the ESC recall to look forward to in a month. <sigh>

I really want to love the truck. The power delivery is smooth and it pulls well. The interior is great (Sea Salt / Bison Brown ) the infotainment is cool in how many features and options.

But right now I don't know that I would trust it to drive out of the county.
