If the newer vehicles cost alot more than the last few years, (who cares about the actual rate) then the older vehicles values also increase, or drop less in value than the norms for used vehicles. Well, to getting into the weeds of price of vehicles
does effect me, even if I chose not to pay the higher vehicle prices. Here in Kentucky we pay a personal property tax per NADA values annually which has effected me because the values don't drop as normal. This has been addressed by the Governor to try to offset that phenomenon by freezing the 2021 values for 2022 values to help, which did not help much now that we are in 2024.
