2022 Orders

I hesitated to pass this information along, but I don’t see any reason not to (the information seems to line up fairly reasonably). A user on the TRX forum posted this:
  • The most updated schedule was released on 7/30
    • This schedule shows 21MY buildout on 8/31
    • This schedule show 22MY job 1 as 9/1 (was previously 8/26 on a schedule released 7/16)
  • There aren't any planned periods of downtime aside from Thanksgiving and Christmas.
  • Between 9/1 and 12/31, there are 10 planned production Saturdays
  • Between 9/1 and 12/31, there are 7 planned production Sundays (they are really trying to get these trucks out)
  • Between 9/1 and 9/10, the plant will be in a 'Launch Curve' with daily numbers increasing over that period
  • Starting with Saturday, 9/11, the plant will produce at 1,435 JPD (jobs per day for all DT) and continue at that rate, which is considered 'reaching straight time'
  • Production is scheduled on Friday, 11/26 (Black Friday)
  • Production is scheduled 12/27 through 12/30, which is typically a shutdown period for automotive plants
Obviously, that info is subject to change. And I’m surprised by the daily target of 1,435/day considering they consistently miss their current targets of 1,335/day. Hope springs eternal, I guess.
Thank you once again for the update.... I'm sure Stellantis is making a hard push..... they would like nothing more than to dethrone GM from the number 2 spot or even better dethrone Ford from the number one spot for truck sales

I was told a minimum of 12 weeks ... given how long I waited to put the order in - we ... shall ... see :)

coincidentally current MY21 incentives end 8/21 I think. Maybe some new incentives to get the sales numbers up later in the Fall when we take delivery. One can hope....

When you pay MD 1k to factory order does that money get refunded back when you purchase the truck or does it go towards the cost of the truck? I have never paid a down payment on a vehicle in my life not factory ordered so I am curious.

Towards the cost.

Anyone having issues adding the technology package to their order? It’s only showing as an option for Big Horn trims on the dealer’s ordering tool. Been to multiple dealers same issue
I believe that the technology package got rolled in with ASG. On the Limited models, there is no more Tech Package or ASG, it's all in limited level 1. Since ASG isn't available on the Big Horn it may be they are offering the tech package as a solo option for that trim.

I don’t see the features under limited level 1, but I sure hope you’re right.

I ordered a ram sport night edition. May 12th then wow told I got moved to a '22. Went to see the dealer last week as I was originally told max 16 weeks that's september 1st. Now they are telling me I should have it in September sometime. My question is.. For the people that got switched to a 22 are those trucks being build first? I see that production on them wint be starting until this week I think.

Was May 12 your original order date? If so, then you were never in line for a 2021 (they cut off 2021 orders a week before that, and opened 2022 orders on May 6). If that’s the case, then you probably have one of the very first 2022 orders.
If your original order was placed earlier, then you likely got converted with several other orders.
Either way, there’s really no telling when your order will be built. There are basically no trucks on the schedule yet, so it’s anyone’s guess.
If you can provide the last 8 digits of your VIN, I will be able to glean a little more about where your order sits in the list.

Ordered May 12th got a text from the dealer and all then apparently they changed it to june 3rd thats when it went to a 22 in take it. nn112226 is the last 8 of the vin

Ok, that VIN does correspond with a date of 6/3-6/4. Most of the “converted” 2021 Canadian orders are in clumps around 148000 and 150000. So I’m thinking yours wasn’t converted…it was just never a 2021 order to begin with. Your dealer apparently didn’t know what he was doing when he took a 2021 order on May 12.
Not sure if that’s good or bad for the timing of getting your truck. You’re towards the front numerically, but you’ve got the Canada thing working against you.

Hey all, been lurking for awhile. Would like to add my vin to list, thank you!

Well, im trying to be optimistic and hold my excitement about the possibility of 2022 orders turning into d1 status this week, but im super cautious.

I normally reach out to ram chat on Monday, but this time around, I'm going to wait until the end of the week.

Updated tracker for weekend additions (@Kowalczyk45, @Gr8dane, @GoBigRam, @Mjbano, @AngelPhoenix, @Ramontario21, @Husker4theSpurs). No changes to the assumptions on production, but I'm hopeful that it might move up a few days (to 9/1). And after the ramp-up, I hope they'll really turn out 7,000-8,000 trucks a week (per their supposed new schedule).

Thanks for the update! Dealer told me "at least 12 weeks" but I'm in no rush. Though it would be nice to have before December/winter so I'm not having to get my inspections done in the middle of snowstorms every year lol
