Hello there,

I drive a 2021 Ram Rebel and at the end of last year to be exact on December 2024 I had a radiator leak which made me change the radiator with a new one from Mopar as I did not find any aftermarket (larger size ones) and since that day up until April 2025 I was facing a high coolant and oil temprature reaching to 108-110℃ (225-230℉) while being idle and cruising on the highway which really freaked me out!!!

I was going through how can some mods help me with this issue, I noticed the fake hood vents and thought why don't I make them real functional hood vents (I thought about water going into the engine bay and all this drama) but in my situation I am located in the Middle East in Kuwait (mostly we have Clear skies that are FREAKING HOT during summer, and we get lots of dusty days) summer temps reach a high of 50 ℃ (122 ℉) in the shade in day light and at night it gets down to the higher 30's ℃ (90's ℉).

I went to one of our best MOD shops in Kuwait - SOLID Projects (https://www.instagram.com/solid_projects/?hl=en) - the shop has some iconic work which you can check out on their instagram page.

we discussed the pros and cons and I decided to go ahead with the plan and the photos will speak of the design outcome which I loved to be honest.

Performance wise, it gave the outcome I hoped for, now when the car is idle the temp is around 96℃ (204℉) and the oil temp is around 100℃ (212℉) and I while cruising the coolant temprature raises to 100-102℃ (212-216℉) and the oil temp goes up to 101-104℃ (214-220℉) and I am now satisfied.

This is the part I changed (the photo is from the internet)

Nice work!
One food for thought, usually after any type of coolant loss/refill - as experienced with a radiator replacement - if temps are higher than before the job I usually seek to eradicate air in the cooling system. Did you look into bleeding the cooling system as well?

A few ways to do this, but parking up a steep hill, letting engine come up to temp and run for a while with Heat on max should help.
