Thinking about trading in my 2019 RAM Loaded Limited for a loaded 2021 with HUD and all the bells and whistles. The F150's start to show up in early December and they look super nice too. Anyone have any thoughts on the topic?
Totally missed that you were thinking of going from a 19 to a 21. Thought you were just thinking of jumping ship to an F-150.
Since you already have a loaded Limited - I really don't think there's enough differences in the Ram 21, to justify the dump (even with the fact that used Rams seem to be going for almost as much as what people paid out the door for theirs lately - more of a COVID supply related thing than anything else likely).
Then again - if the 21 F-150 REALLY GRABS YOUR NADS that much - it's something to consider (all things being equal). I usually upgrade every 4 years - typically based on running up 100K in 4 - and my previous vehicles extended warranties only running to 120K (plus trade-in values go down over 100K). Those 4 years, usually gets a "mid-generation upgrade" in a model. The Honda Pilot I was driving at the time - upgraded NOTHING - so it was time to look elsewhere.
I've never owned a Ford ANYTHING. In fact - this last time around was the first time I had ever actually BEEN IN A FORD DEALERSHIP (kinda creepy for me, being a chevy guy).
I would have considered a Durango this time around - but it was even more cramped than the Pilot I was coming out of (being an SUV kinda guy). The "rumored" Grand Wagoneer for 22 catches my eye - but with a price tag approaching $100K for a model equipped similar to my Limited - not sure I'm going to get there either...
