My Laramie is such a disappointment. I have always had GM pickups but liked the looks and features of the new Ram so I bought one. Bad move. My truck has so many electronic gremlins that it really causes me concern for the long-term. The dealership of course has never heard of the problems that I am having. I had to have a guy sit in my truck and show him. His response...I see the problem and will get back to you.
Never did get back to me and getting an appointment with them is an entirely different issue. Was going to wait until the 2019 Chevy was out for a bit but I didn't and now I have huge regrets. I am openly telling people that it is a electronic POS and to not buy one. Always wondered why people steered clear of Dodge/Ram now I know why.

I'm sorry you're having trouble with your truck, but give me a damn break. I can go over the the Chebby forum right now and find a dozen posts from people with lemons or other serious issues, just like I can on the F150 forum.

There are lots of us that have problem free trucks.

Vector, I have never had a Chebby that had this many problems at 900 miles. I have a new Tahoe, that has 7600 miles on it and it has never seen the inside of the dealership other than for its free oil change. Sorry bud but this Ram sucks the big one. I average a new truck every 5 years and heretofore my Chebbys have been less buggy than this POS Ram. My friends warned me and some laughed at me when I went with the Ram. Now I know why.

Trolling? No signature, pictures, location or even a real description of the electrical problems......

Oh gee just because I do not have a signature or a picture I am a troll. LOL. Not trolling, I have a 2019 Laramie with the 5.7 Hemi, silver with black interior. I can even give you the freaking VIN if you want to verify it. I have posted in another thread that sets forth the issues with my Ram. There are eight electronic issues, they are as follows:

1. The overhead/reading lights stopped working
2. My heated/cooled seats do not come on automatically. The UConnect climate settings have to be reset daily. I am using the online Owner's Manual to reset the climate settings. The other night it was in the 20's and the heated seats/wheel did not come on. The truck takes forever to warm up or get cool when at the warmest or coolest settings.
3. The key fob remote start does not work
4. My headlights do not come on when they are on the auto setting so I have to turn the switch on and back to auto for them to work. When I shut the truck off when the headlights are on I get a notification that my lights are, again when in the auto setting. I have turn the switch to off and back to auto again.
5. My ignition switch goes to ACC instead of off when I shut the truck off
6. The button on the door handle fails to lock the doors.
7. I have to tug on the door handle a couple of times to unlock the door. Even had to resort to the key fob on one occasion. You are supposed to grasp the door handle and they will unlock.
8. My UConnect presets have reverted to previous settings several days after I had set them.

The common theme throughout my issues is electronics. Somewhere something is wrong.

None of these are significant issues but at 900 miles one would expect these annoying issues to not be present. My new Tahoe has lots of features and they all work.

@MTShells so before this further develops into a brand loyalty pissing match, assume your dealer fixed the problems you've identified... What would your opinion be of the truck?

I'd be just a frustrated as you in this situation! But I think it should be noted that your dealer is only stoking your frustrations with the brand. Some blame should be focused on them and not fully on Ram's early model issues since these all CAN be fixed one way or another if your dealer WANTED to

Cool story bro, it only just won the truck of the year.

Therein lies the problem. A new platform with some minor issues coupled with dealer incompetence. I bought it from a smaller local dealership.

My opinion based upon ride/performance is that it is a very nice truck. I am also pleased with the styling and interior. For the features it has and the price I paid it appeared to be a good value. However, the features I paid for do not work as they should. I sometimes feel I should have bought a work truck without the features and I would have a less frustrating experience. My biggest concern is with all the annoying electronic issues that I will have an expensive day of reckoning some time in the future.

Very frustrating to have all of the electrical issues right off the bat, I'm sure. Do you have access to a different dealer? Or perhaps @RamCares can assist you if your current dealer is your only option and unwilling to help? Once these issues get fixed, I bet you will love your truck. No manufacturer is immune from having repairs, regardless of cost or how new. My buddy's new Traverse had a new tranny put in after only 200 miles. It happens. I'll admit I was leery on the "reputation" of Ram when purchasing. I put the lifetime warranty on it for 2950 (100 deductible) and have a dealership service place I trust. That makes me sleep easy at night and enjoy the Ram during the day. (BTW, today is the last day for the lifetime warranty option before they discontinue it.)

Someone just posted this which I thought seemed appropriate. It's too bad you are having trouble, but bad vehicles get made by everyone unfortunately. Here's what they wrote:

Still a baby. Just crossed 500 miles. Nothing of a glitch so far and frankly the truck is exceeding my expectations. I came from a '16 F150. At this same point, my door latches had frozen multiple times (this never stopped btw even after TSBs and Recalls and remains a problem up through the 2018 Fords). My Sync basically would not turn on some days, freeze entirely or just turn off randomly. My Wiper fluid had seized - another TSB fix. I was at the dealer 3x. That was not a new model year.

I am so shell-shocked by the problems i had with that F150 (beyond above - IWE failures, 2 pano sunroof replacements etc all within 18 months), that I am so doubtful Ram will be any different and just waiting/listening for something to go wrong - which I hate. Fingers crossed and burning the incense.

I too am having major issues with my 19 Limited. First off I couldn't even get off the lot without an issue at delivery. The truck accelerated on its own, after having the truck in the shop on the first attempt they replaced the pedal assembly. Had the truck back less than 24 hours and it did it again. Took it straight back to the dealer and after two and a half weeks later and a Ram engineer they found a wire loom where a wire had gotten pinched and severed. Two weeks later I went on a long trip and started hearing a rattling in the back. crawled under and saw both bolts were missing on the passenger side rear sway bar mount. The following morning while driving the windshield cracked from what I'm assuming was from body flex. I also have the horrible brake squeaking how embarrassing on a $70k truck. I have an appointment for those to be repaired on the 11th of Dec, but just this last Saturday I started the pickup and half a block down the road my check engine light comes on and battery voltage low, It was running around only 11 volts. Called the dealer and was told I should just wait till the 11th, but now I'm without a truck as it just started seriously snowing here in MN and no 4wd. This is BS. Chrysler's customer service under the first acceleration issue was horrible. I was told so many excuses and stories and only get a call back after I get my truck back from the dealer and the initial response was well you got your truck back.

Oh and the voice commands on the navigation are not working for the last couple weeks.

I am at a loss and an attorney friend said I should pursue lemon law.

Sorry to hear that. Don't know if state laws similar but someone in the threads completed a lemon law claim. Might be worth it message them. Good luck

Really sorry to hear about everyone's problems with their POS trucks. Personally, I think my '19 Limited is a great ride. The only thing I can NOT like about it so far is the finicky throttle. I purchased the truck in Tucson, and after a little break in, pulled a #9000 fifth wheel to central Washington. That was about 2000 miles of trouble free driving, pulling #9000, and averaging just over 10 mpg(hand calc). I can understand ya'alls frustration, but, jeez. NOT ALL RAMS ARE A POS. Go with the lemon law, lawyer, beat the crap out of a snowman, but, don't go postal, get over it as best you can and move on. Life is too short. Trade it in, sell it, and get another POS truck, or a great truck, or a whatever.
I am sure there are a lot of us out there who are thankful we don't have any major problems, and hope we never do, but we are enjoying a great truck.
AND THAT'S THE TRUTH ;-)

Got issues as well. 4K miles. Have been in the shop twice. Back up camera didn’t work after 500 miles. Now the airbag system light comes on and off every five minutes. I’ve had multiple new cars the last twenty years. My Ford I didn’t see the inside of the service department until 70k miles. I have a feeling the electrical system will be FUBAR’d the entire time I keep this 60k clunker

I bought a 2012 ram 1500. awesome truck. Good gas mileage, never spent a dime on it till I put brakes in it at 84K. It now has 120k on it and still no issues. Awesome truck. Bought a 2019 loaded sport and im not real happy. My son and I bought trucks at the same time, he bought a loaded sport as well. He gets 26 miles per gallon, I get 12 and I drive like an old grandma. Mileage is abysmal, I got 20 plus with my 12 as well, hell even my 700 hp shelby GT500 gets better mileage than my new truck. So far the dealer has been less than helpful. I could understand it if it was decently fast but my 12 runs circles around it for power, its a turd. Other than it being a thirsty ..... im mostly happy with it.

Signed; Soon to be in the food stamp line from buying gas.
