2019 new style 12.1 display has know issues FAC is hiding

I'm having the same issue with my SXM channel memory recall. The really weird thing though when I do it with an FM station it works properly and recalls the station saved to memory. The seats, mirrors, brake pedal are all working properly in both scenarios, it's just the SXM station that is the issue.

That's why I've mentioned numerous times on this forum that it's clearly a Sirius issue. When I had issues Sirius said take it to the dealer yet I was able to save presets and favorites on FM and AM. I tried to explain this to them and make them understand that this is a clear indication that it's a problem on their end and not hardware related but it fell on deaf ears. After about 5 or 6 calls to Sirius and multiple refresh attempts out of nowhere one day I was able to set presets and favorites. It's been good ever since. They need to figure it out. It's not something the dealer can fix.

Btw, I have never set up a user profile since taking delivery in September.

Man, I’m thankful to have none of these issues, ever, despite exclusively listening to SiriusXM on my 12” UConnect for 10 months now. But this also makes me wonder why only specific accounts are affected. I like to know “why” a certain repair/flash/fix works.

So, if you hit button 2 on your door to recall memory profile 2, it changes the preset buttons on your SXM to whatever was saved there versus what was saved in memory profile (aka seat position) #1?

When I check on my Uconnect, it says something like I'm in my trial that ends next June. When I login to my SXM account, it shows my '19 Ram with a Complimentary 1-Year Trial of SiriusXM All Access and a 5-year trial of SiriusXM Travel Link and Traffic Plus.

I think that means I am NOT in Demo mode, right?

That's the way my account also appears at SiriusXM.com, but I also had to activate it from the UConnect interface in the truck.

The Uconnect app on my phone works fine. I have used it to remote unlock, remote start, and several times to Send 'n Go.

I noticed on on the day before yesterday that my sat radio had lost all 12 of my presets. All of them went back to saying "Hold to set" or something like that.

I gave it a few key cycles, hoping they would come back, but they never did. Yesterday, I finally gave up and reprogrammed just preset #1.

Today, that preset was lost again. I also noticed today that it had lost my customization of the button bar at the bottom of the screen. I had replaced the Backup Cam icon with the 360 Cam icon, but today it had gone back to having the Backup Cam icon in that spot.

I've only had my truck for 3 weeks. I think the build date (month) was 3/19.

I have only had the issue once where the radio locked up and it hasn't returned so , but I did lose my Sirius presets and for some reason it sounded like the lower music stations sounded much better. Anyone else notice this or are my old ears getting better. I know they are launching a new satellite in late 2019.

Sound quality for SiriusXM generally sucks. I get better fidelity via Pandora on my iPhone connected to CarPlay.

There's a couple of threads on this going in the Uconnect subforum.

Some are saying to get SXM to send a Refresh to your unit.

Others are saying to go into the Uconnect settings and setup a profile, then recreate your presets, use the door buttons to save your profile and hit lock on your key fob to associate that fob with that memory setting.

I sent a Refresh earlier, but haven't checked the truck or done the other stuff yet.

Its fixed for me. There is an icon at the right of the screen which is empty (4th icon below Notify/Tune/Search).

When you press on that it takes you to the settings.

There is an option the to Add a new listener. Press on it and create one. Then do all of your presets and save your profile using the door options.

I have shutdown the vehicle 3 times today and presets are all good.

In the screenshots I already added a listener, but otherwise the icon would be empty.

I originally did not have a Listener. That icon was empty. I created one (the blue glases).

I experienced the issues with lost presets last Friday and again on Saturday. And I had a profile already setup before I lost the stations. However, on Saturday, after the second time of losing the presets, I set everything back up once again, and so far so good. Haven't lost anything since.

I have yet to hear anything back from FCA.

My presets mysteriously showed back up yesterday morning, and they were old presets from before the problem showed up. They were unaffected by the many attempts to re-set them once the problem showed up. They had the graphical icons and everything. Later in the afternoon, they started to lose their graphical representations randomly. I haven't checked yet today.

My guess is that there's a memory leak somewhere in the latest OTA release.
