its a pretty stripped down 4x4 with ORG / Off Road Package and lone star grp1 and thats it. First mods will be hardwiring in my radar detector then hijacking the trailer 7pin with a CURT adapter and making up some reverse LED spotlights.

wheel to wheel nerf bars are on the way.

then some kind of ranchhand winch bumper.

a rollbar / chasebar out back.

and probably 2" hubcentric wheel spacers.

chineseium.

i hate to say it.

i hate to see it.

when I was mounting the nerf bars, one of the rocker panel studs sheared off.

then when I was mounting the rear wheel mud flaps, one of the plastic christmas tree tabbers broke.

its a damn shame.

in between rain clouds i got the westin winch mount installed. their instructions need updating for the new model trucks, but it mostly makes sense. mostly.

it goes where the tow hooks attach. anyone need a set of OEM tow hooks?

one of the things they tell you is to remove the black plastic trim piece around the tow hook area. unnessessary. I removed one side then saw that the new bracket would still fit and ended up putting it back. it was hard to put back after the bracket was there. the other side i didnt undo and the bracket just went in all nice and proper.

a thing they DONT tell you is to pull down the front side wheel well plastic liner and get it out of your way - its 8mm and only 5 screws per side. worth the 3 minutes to pull it away so you have more work room.

a place where their instructions say use one of their bolts thru a stock mounting hole thru the front bumper supports - it doesnt fit. I guess it maybe fits on the old body style but not the new ones. i ended up using the OEM hardware for this one location.

they DO tell you to reuse a 'body bolt' that is OEM for the tow hook. They tell you it has a keeper washer on it and put a wrench on it and tap it downwards with a hammer to pull the keeper out.
what they DONT tell you is this bolt is like a foot long and you need to hammer the **** out of it to make it let go:

exhibit A: Driver side front wheel well liner front section, tow hook, OEM tow hook body bolt as big as the damn hammer

where im driving in OK i legit need mud flaps... its the whole reason me and the old lady even upgraded our trucks to 4x4s .. the first time we went up into the mountains we got stuck.

we were stuck like a half day and finally i got a dude with a SXS and winch to unstuck me.

never again.

i have some mud flaps for the fronts too just havent put em on yet. they are RAM logo you'll love them more.
