12" Uconnect Reset?

Another update. My Ram took an update last night. My XM 360L appears to be working as designed. It looks like a great system now that it works. A special thanks to the RamCares representative for working with me on this.
Have this same issue can you please let me know exactly how this was resolved.
 
I've had my new Ram Longhorn 2019 for 3 weeks now and having issues with various functions not working intermittently. The heated seats won't activate when you press the icon or the screen goes black. The cameras won't work. Once the screen went black and couldn't turn off the radio. If I leave the truck off for 2 to 3 hours then everything resets and works for a few days then it has another glitch. I took it into the dealer last week. They have had it for 5 days and because it's an intermittent problem can't figure out what's wrong. I asked if there was a hard reset on the UConnect screen such as turning on and off your iPhone or using a control alt delete feature like on a computer and the service department says there isn't one. That seems to be a design flaw. I've noticed some individuals are disconnecting the battery to reset the system. Why would anyone have to do that on an appropriately designed new truck? Very frustrating to have a brand new truck and be driving a tiny loaner vehicle. We'll see how this works out. May be the last Ram I ever buy.
 
Here is an update on my Uconnect issues. The dealer was not able to resolve the Uconnect Sirius XM issue. They said it was a known issue. I was told that a future software update would be needed to resolve the problem. They told me to expect an update with the next month or two. So much for enjoying the fancy 12" inch screen functions this summer. I do give credit to the RamCares representative. They have expedited the issue with Ram. Not sure if the 12" media center is ready for public enjoyment.
hi! i just bought a 2019 Limited in November, same thing, Sirius radio quit after four days, dealer said "waiting for updates", January 11th, still waiting!
 
Two Month Old Ram Limited with 4K miles. Twice in less than a month I have experienced the following:
  • Running boards did not deploy when doors opened
  • Truck started normally. 12” display and electronics came on normally for about 5 seconds
  • After a few seconds the 12” display went blank and all controls on and around the display were inoperable
  • Radio stayed on with no way to turn off or control volume
  • Heater came on and was blowing full speed
  • Front windows were inoperable although rear windows worked.
  • Instrument panel display appeared to work as normal, but flashed the words “updating” a few times
  • Tried to turn truck off and back on several times to get errors to clear but they did not
  • Was able to drive truck back to house.
  • Several hours later, I started the truck and everything worked fine.
Dealer had it for something else after it happened the first time and I asked them to check it and they couldn't find a problem. I've read here that there may be a software update that is on it's way to address this and other problems I've seen here. I hope that's the case. Frustrating when the bells and whistles that come on a $60K truck don't work like they're supposed to from the start.

I just bought a 2019 Ram Limited, picked it up Thursday May 23rd. 2019. TROUBLES ALREADY ! I'll attach a picture of the two front doors leather on the top of the doors. Salesman thinks it looks fine, I say looks like S--T! Please tell me if I am unreasonable. This morning my 12" screen has little blinking dots, nothing more, no navigation. No matter what I do nothing. Unlike my older Summit and cannot reboot? This is really a bad flaw. Another bad issue is the driver seat memory, It continues to crush me! It will not learn it will only fold the seat into an excruciating position if you are in it. What ever happened to dealer prep? I paid for it on my bill of sale. I'm already fed up! 70K . I need a case on the leather and something done to get this screen and seat issue fixed quickly. I'm already sorry I should have listened to what other buyers said and STAY AWAY. That’s terrible. Call FCA yourself. It’s defective and should be replaced.
 
Unacceptable. My Limited's leather looks perfect everywhere. They need to replace those pieces under warranty.

That looks horrible and should definitely be replaced under warranty.

As far as the salesman, maybe he can't see what you're talking about? It's probably hard for him to see with his head up his a*&!
 
Went to the Dealer on Tuesday and met the GM, agreed looks like #@%!, ordered two new door cards. They re-flashed the memory seats and my navigation system. All working good now. I'm happy with the results. Other than the bugs, I love the car. I'm amazed how it will steer itself on the roads as long as there is paint markings to correct the attentive driver. (me) The parking actuators will keep the ride in lane, I had felt the wheel fight with me many times while traveling to and from Austin this past weekend. Then I looked at the video's Mopar emailed to me and was amazed. My Limited optioned out is a real technical marvel.
 
Thanks for the suggestion of holding down the volume and tuning buttons. I'll give that a shot. I expect to encounter a few bugs so I'm okay with that aspect. I am a technology guy so I know that consumers/users are sometimes the best testers (lol). I am hoping to figure it out before taking it in. I had a used 2014 1500 Laramie that I absolutely loved, my first full sized truck. I was blown away by the design and features of the new 2019 so I jumped when I found one equipped the way I wanted. No regrets.
There is no reboot for new Uconnect. I just had complete software reinstall. Didn't even get out of lot and radio screen went black, back up cam stayed on going 50 mph forward, every time I went from surround cam to forward screen blacked, etc, etc. Too many to list. New appt tomorrow but one by one every problem has fixed itself. Even my 88 Corvette's computer had to relearn driving habits, I wonder if this computer has self correcting diagnostics?
 
Was a case opened? I haven't heard anything from Ram. Kinda embarrassing when I show off this large screen media center to friends and tell them that it doesn't work.

I have a 2019 Ram Limited and have owned it for 3 months and I have had my truck in the shop 3 times going back tomorrow for the 4th time because my 12 inch screen freezes up when I am on the phone sometimes and it refuses to let me end the call even if I turn my phone off it still shows the call connected. The only way I can fix it is to disconnect the negative cable and restart the truck. But it gets better I then lose the Sirius XM and my backup camera and the climate control . 60k I paid for this problem and no one seems to have a clue .

My 2109 ram Limited with the 12" Connect started really screwing up today, 1st I answered a call and it wouldn't;t hang up on the screen even though the call was no long on my phone, the the radio was useless at that point, after letting it sit for over a hour turned off, I got back and everything seemed to be ok and then I get a call and the same thing happened. I stopped again for about 2 hours and when I got back in everything seemed to working until I stopped and then the wifi stopped working, I stopped again for about 2 hours and the wifi started working again but after going on the road for about 10 minutes I get a phone call and during the call the sound went out, but I was able to hang up the call but the sound never did come back on. I drove it straight to the dealer service dept where it is now, Will update what happens from here.
Same truck same problem please share any progress Id hate to get rid of my truck if its an easy fix but 4 times in the shop with no results is gettin old

Most recently it also plays the Sirius Preview channel OVER whatever source is selected. Bluetooth plays, for example, and I get the satellite radio preview channel at the same time. The fuse for the 12" screen is behind a panel below the steering wheel. I pulled it the other day and reset the thing. Sure would be easier if there we a key or screen sequence to use.

My SiriusXM does the same thing randomly when I start the vehicle. I can turn the power to the radio off and it will still play the station. it will play the station over FM and Bluetooth. I noticed if I go to sirius it shows it's not selected but once I selected to the station and then go back to Bluetooth or FM it goes away. As of right now on my screen magically decided to stop recognizing my touch. Restarted the truck multiple times and it still won't respond. Ram customer service told me I had to take it into the dealership. 2019 power wagon
 
1st yr fancy stuff is released is not the time I would want to buy it.
Someone is jealous? That’s why I bought “1st year fancy stuff”
