It locks it down when used as a divider only. When used as an extender it has no purpose. Mine was keyed the same as my Ram from the factory, if not you will have two different keys if you got it after you took delivery of your Ram.
It’s a federal law that says both tail lights have to be visible from either side and with that divider/extender setup it wasn’t so they could not sell it that way or install the pegs any longer. Just order the pegs on line. I have a post in another thread with all of the information, part...
Went and had the Pedal recall taken care of yesterday and while I was there they updated my TCM which so far has eliminated the shifting issue 100%. Additionally, part of the update was for the brake assist for the park sense. That has also improved and is no longer slamming on the brakes in...
I'm at 800 miles and about the same mileage, very disappointed. I live in an area where we have a lot of rolling hills and I know that has a bearing on it. When I take a longer ride on flatter terrain, I get much better mileage, 20-22 MPG.
If you have the divider, it can be used as an extender of you order the correct parts. Ram can't configure their trucks with them any longer for legal reasons, but the parts are available from moparpartsinc.com

Well, it's working fairly well, still need to do a couple things when the weather improves and corresponds with a day off, lol. Anyway, I've got everything worked out for the most part except a couple minor problem areas. I'll need to have my wife lock inside the bed on a sunny day and I...
What about the rear corners and that gap? I've tried to weather strip mine with little success, they are huge gaps and Bak does not address them. Have you done anything with them or reached out to Bak?
It's definitely a Ram thing on the driver side. Same problem on my side, I had them ship me their retrofitted rails and they fixed the problem. Anyway, glad you are up and running. Let me know how you are dealing with the gaps on the tailgate corners and the leaks. I'm still waiting to hear...
That is the correct model number, 100%, installed mine yesterday. HOWEVER, the rails that it is shipped with are not fitting the rails on the Ramboxes on the newly built Rams as Ram must have made a change in their tolerances. Mine fit great on the passenger side but was a no-go on the driver...
LOL, I just sent you a message about the same issue I am having. I should have read a little further in. I'd still like to see your fix to see if I am on the right track. I've attached what I did today and hoping will work, may be not enough, waiting for rain that supposed to come, but might...
Hello I need your help ASAP. I just installed my MX4 yesterday and there is an issue in mine that I am waiting to hear back from Bakflip about. On each rear corner, there should be some kind of weather stripping to keep rain out, and a there is nothing shipped with the cover. There is...
