    Strange Steering behaviour at Speed.

    I had this exact issue when mine was delivered brand new. RAM refused to repair it under warranty (0 miles.....which I'll never understand). At any rate, I had it replaced, and my new one just started having the same issue again, which about 15k miles on it. I can't wait to see how RAM will...

    Bad lifters, will they cover it under warranty if I changed my own oil?

    That's not really what this thread was about though. I don't want to waste any more time on RAM or ramcares. I was just wondering if my garbage 5.7 engine that is dying at 40k miles is going to be similar to my garbage rack and pinion that died at 1 mile, and not be covered by warranty.

    Bad lifters, will they cover it under warranty if I changed my own oil?

    I'm sure @RamCares can verify in their ticketing system, that I had a part that was bad from the factory, it was documented by a dealership, and they refused to cover it. But, I had a ton of calls with them, where this was covered, and I was basically told that I can accept partial coverage, or...

    Bad lifters, will they cover it under warranty if I changed my own oil?

    The dealership verified that they had in their notes that I complained about the rack and pinion twice while under warranty (not for oil change, I never get my oil changed at a dealership). RAM was notified that I complained about it twice, and RAM refused to repair the issue under warranty. I...

    Bad lifters, will they cover it under warranty if I changed my own oil?

    @John Galt Wow, so I can't even use my patented "oil gravel" anymore? When will this oppression stop! But yeah, thanks for the info. I'll look into the wording of the factory warranty.

    Bad lifters, will they cover it under warranty if I changed my own oil?

    @Legal Brief It's a 2021 that I got in January of 2021. It's only 2 years old. I have no extended warranty. As far as I'm concerned with my experience so far, RAM doesn't have a warranty of any kind unless they feel like honoring it. Which so far for me, they have not. Maybe this will be...

    Bad lifters, will they cover it under warranty if I changed my own oil?

    @HSKR R/T The issue unfortunately hasn't been with the dealer (and I've talked to multiple). RAM themselves refused to replace my rack and pinion, and it was bad from the factory. I went in and complained about it when the truck was new, then two more times before the bumper to bumper was out...

    Bad lifters, will they cover it under warranty if I changed my own oil?

    The only records I would know to keep on changing my own oil is writing down "I changed the oil at this date/miles". Even a receipt on when I bought the oil wouldn't really prove anything.

    Bad lifters, will they cover it under warranty if I changed my own oil?

    I've already had a terrible experience with this truck. At this point it's barely a vehicle. I have 40k miles on it, and Ram has fought me on every single part that's had to be replaced, with me spending over $600 on warranty covered parts. I now have lifters going bad, and misfires all over...

    2020 5.7 Engine Knock

    I hope you're liking the chevy. I've had nothing but problems with my Ram so far. Just had the lifter failures, and misfiring. So, I'm about to go through the same thing as you. I've done all of my oil changes....I imagine they're going to put up a fight. I've already had Ram refuse to pay...

    @ramcares really cares?

    That's a very healthy way to look at it. My post wasn't really meant to dunk on Ram only, but it's my first new vehicle purchase ever. My brother in law who bought an F-150 new at the same time has been without his for much longer than mine due to eletrical issues. Now his turbos have gone...

    @ramcares really cares?

    Not to keep an older post alive too long, but I'm also going through this right now. Just about everything on my truck has broken with 1,000 miles after the b2b 36,000 mile mark. I hit 37,000 miles and my rear window started leaking, the e-torque started squealing, the alternator appears to be...

    Is this rack and pinion issue worth fixing?

    Thanks, that's exactly the issue I've had. I'm glad they're willing to help pay for the issue, but I can't believe this isn't a safety recall. It's very dangerous. I guess I'll just pay out of pocket. Thanks

    Dealership delays repair until after warranty? (possibly not malicious)

    Thanks for the input. I asked a question here: Is this rack and pinion issue worth fixing? to see if anyone had any more insight on this issue. Hopefully someone has some experience with it.

    Is this rack and pinion issue worth fixing?

    When I drive over 40-45 mph, around a left hand curve, my steering wheel gets locked, but only a small amount. It feels exactly like lane keep assist, where it just holds it there, but if I apply a couple of pounds of pressure it releases. It's been an issue since the day I bought the truck...

    Dealership delays repair until after warranty? (possibly not malicious)

    Just to update everyone, and for future reference, RAM has appeared to have sided with the dealership. An issue on the vehicle, even well documented, did not exist if the dealership does not find it. I'm going to post this question somewhere else too, but I'm going to ask here as well. Do you...

    It looks like your initial reaction was the correct one.

    Dealership delays repair until after warranty? (possibly not malicious)

    I'm going to pick up the truck today with no repairs being made, since the warranty isn't valid. I'm hoping ram comes back with something positive. This whole thing just doesn't make any sense to me. I really didn't see ram siding with the dealer. I thought they were blowing smoke when they...

    Dealership delays repair until after warranty? (possibly not malicious)

    @PurpleRT That's one of my concerns now. I don't want them touching my truck. Not that it matters. Now that I know ram doesn't provide a warranty if the dealership can't find the issue in time, I'm not sure I'm going to get it fixed. I'm not paying for it. I'll just drive this until it's...

    Dealership delays repair until after warranty? (possibly not malicious)

    @HSKR R/T originally I agreed with you, and it seemed like a dealership issue. I just got off the phone with the RAM support line, and here's a quote of what they told me. "We see that you brought the truck in for this issue at 30,000 miles. While this is during your warranty the dealership...
