Yeah...Les Schwab... haven't had many good experiences there. I keep telling myself I'm never going to go to one again, but then something comes up and they're the only ones who are open and/or can squeeze me in.
This may be worse than I thought. Took it to a suspension shop and they said the UCA seemed fine. Finally got around to checking more thoroughly myself and it doesn't look fine to me. Attached are pictures of the "healthy" passenger side and then the malfunctioning/bad driver side. Looks like...
357 days and 15k miles later IT IS HAPPENING AGAIN. Same side (driver). This time I noticed a metallic-sounding "clunk" going over speed bumps. Jacked the truck up and I can get the driver side to click, but not passenger.
Pretty sure that UCA ball joint is under warranty this time, but why...
Welp, stopped at 4 different gas stations on the way home and put $10 in the tank at each station without issue. As I said in my previous post, I'm not getting too excited because of all the failed Vapor Canister fixes. It seems like a few people have had the EVAP repair work for a few...
Having this issue with my '21. 23 gallon tank. At the dealership now getting it worked on - I think they are taking the charcoal canister/EVAP system fix route, so my hopes are pretty low after reading posts from everyonr else. However, I do drive in a lot of dusty / dirty conditions, so...
Tints.
20% front windows, 35% over preexisting factory tinted glass everywhere else. Also had them put 35% on the back glass of the topper. Wish I had a good excuse for waiting until the end of the truck's second summer (40k miles) to do this.
Hellwig makes adjustable rear links. I have them and have no complaints. Core 4x4 seems to be a popular option for links as well.
Judging by my experience and from these forums, there is no appreciable movement in the track bar if you are keeping your rear lift 2" or less. Freedom Offroad makes...
UPDATE:
Got it replaced a few days ago. Was $130 for parts and labor. Despite no noticeable symptoms while driving, I didn't want to wait on it because I wanted the alignment to be completed before the "30 day alignment guarantee" expired from my previous visit. With new upper ball joint the...
Good question. Supposedly the place where I had the UCAs installed does a once-over of the suspension whenever I am in there for an alignment (6 alignments since I've had the truck), but none of my service records from them mention greasing the ball joints. The dealership I go to for oil changes...
As the title suggests, I have 34k on my ReadyLift upper control arms and their respective upper ball joints. Was at the local tire/suspension shop yesterday doing seasonal tire swap and an alignment and was told there was too much play in the driver upper ball joint. The tech had me feel driver...
R.Duff, thanks for the intel on the Dobinsons! I just put the same coils in my truck after putting in Hellwig adjustable end links a couple weeks ago. Too early to give much report, but I made a point of hitting speed bumps, a dirt road, and the interstate on the way home - so far it is feeling...
