Ever think the truck gods didn't want you to buy a new truck?

Hey. Ordered from Mark Dodge. I don't recall the shipper specifically but it was someone MD located through their process. Again, I don't fault MD on that. Tires were put on at a local Ram dealer. I bought new BTS take offs and cleaned them up good before bringing them in. When I got home I...

Ever think the truck gods didn't want you to buy a new truck?

Ha, yeah I researched the options. Every dealer told me the 26 gal was standard on the Hemi, crew cab, 4x4...as did the Ram website. At some point late in 2023 orders they started putting the 23 gal in. The rear outlet, I didn't research specifically. My almost identical 2022 Backcountry had...

Ever think the truck gods didn't want you to buy a new truck?

A few weeks ago I took delivery of my new nicely optioned 2023 Ram Backcountry and although I like most things about it, it seems to constantly give little disappointments. In sequence: 1- Ram changed their standard option (for my build) 26 gallon fuel tank and replaced it with a 23...

Gorilla black lugs for 5th gen

Well, I ended up looking at a bunch of different brands and then ordered McGard 64074 off ebay. They were 21.95/4 pack which seemed pretty good compared to other places. Free shipping too.

Gorilla black lugs for 5th gen

I've been looking all over for a part number for Gorilla black lugs and can't seem to find it. Anyone have a link or part number? Mcgard lugs sure have gone up over the past year! Thank you

Mark Dodge Ceramic Coating - worth it?

My Backcountry in Billet just arrived today. Talked with the finance folks there. Their ceramic coating, which includes interior treatment as well, is on special apparently for $545. Although I've never purchased ceramic in the past, I know there are different grades of ceramic, and some very...

Lets See Your BackCountry Trim Trucks!!

Nice to see they are putting black door handles on the 2023 Backcountry. I noticed it on my build sheet and googled this pic. Personally I like the look.

    Start of 2023 Production

Hey that link worked for me, thank you. Unfortunately it shows what I thought, I may have got screwed out of the 26 gal tank. I asked specifically about the tank size as I would have been satisfied with 26 but definitely didn't want 23 gallon...I would have paid the extra for the 33 gal at...

    Start of 2023 Production

Looks like my build sheet is the only one on the 2023 tracker (from post #1 on this thread) that doesn't open. Maybe just a link issue that will resolve over night or something. The link is there, just doesn't open a BS.

Makes sense why it doesn't show then 🙂 Thanks!

    Start of 2023 Production

Hey just curious how long it takes for a build sheet to show once in production. Mine went into production on June 19th and the tracker on this thread shows I'm in E. It looks like a build sheet is available, but when I click on it, it displays... Ooop, try again later.

    Start of 2023 Production

Noticing on some of the build sheets and window stickers that people who should be receiving the 26 gal fuel tank, are getting 23 gal. I ordered recently (went into production yesterday) and didn't order the optional 33 gal since my order came standard with 26 gal. Now I see very similar...

Trying to choose between loaded up Backcountry and Laramie Night/ORG

Yep, ordered May 23rd. As of today sitting in D status. May incentives were solid so went for it.

    Price negotiated from MSRP

It is interesting to watch pricing. Since I ordered a 2023 Backcountry two weeks ago in May, the destination fee went from 1,895 to 1,995. Today I noticed the base price of bighorn is up $100 too...it went from 49,125 to 49,225. The incentives are about half of what they were in May as well...

    Price negotiated from MSRP

Also noticed on the Ram site that the destination fee went up $100. Getting ready for 2024 price increases I guess.

Trying to choose between loaded up Backcountry and Laramie Night/ORG

I thought it was 6500 (5500 + 1000 private) for my zip but Anthony found 1k more. As I mentioned, if it all stands, that's where we will end up. Hopefully nothing changes.

Trying to choose between loaded up Backcountry and Laramie Night/ORG

I know some out of state dealers make the buyer take care of taxes on their own, when they return to their home state. From what I hear, MD takes care of the tax detail (based on each customers zip code of course). So, WI will get their 5.5% based on sale price, less trade value.

Trying to choose between loaded up Backcountry and Laramie Night/ORG

Well, the price was right, so I just order the Backcountry from Anthony at MD. Wasn’t sure about ordering a 2023 this late in the year but no doubt the 2024’s will have another price increase. The Laramie would have been a better value based on resale, but I honestly love my current Backcountry...

Trying to choose between loaded up Backcountry and Laramie Night/ORG

That was one of the main reasons I leaned Laramie. Unfortunate that still can't get a short box hemi...I just checked again with Anthony to see if anything had changed on that front. It hasn't.
