Tired of the factory Alpine woofer just not hacking it for my bass needs..
I don't want to butcher this stereo system or loose any factory features. I'm gonna try to get some 8" sub spacers from eBay, and the shallowest sub I can find, which is only 2 voice coils so I will an extra channel from...
Truck has 9,800 miles, this just started the other day. Only does it at idle when hot. Cold start up is normal. Definitely bringing to dealer, just looking for ideas. Used a stethoscope and can't pinpoint noise. Pulling camper on 1.5 hour drive tomorrow
I work at a GMC dealership in the bodyshop. I've taken a lot of crap for buying a "Fiat" as they like to call my 2019 Rebel. Here's my latest reason why I won't touch a new GM truck (or anything made since the early 90's)
GM's frames are bare metal dipped in a black wax coating, no e coat...
Finally switched out my stock exhaust. Listened to alot of clips. Used my head and got something mild, didn't want something drawing too much attention to me (cops)
My biggest concern was the MDS system sounding weird with a different exhaust.
This 24" magnaflow from mufflex, is perfect. Nice...
To start off I have the Alpine stereo. I've always had high end aftermarket systems in all my vehicles. I was pretty impressed with the factory Alpine in my 19' Rebel. Loud, but just not clean enough. I knew this truck needed more Deadening material, and some poly fill in the sub enclosure...
I Read all the posts about hard wiring in a fuzz buster in these trucks. And mounting with the mirror bracket (wasn't crazy about that)
I went the cordless route. Got a Solo S3.
I got a windshield mount bracket off of eBay, and "bent" the bracket to conform to the rear view mirror plastic...
Winter is here. Was excited to slide around in my 19' rebel. I turned the traction control button off, and to my disappointment it still kicks in, just not as much.
I can get the back end to spin Posi, and it spins nice, but it still activates the front brakes to keep the truck from really...
I'm an auto body guy and see first hand all the rust/corrosion problems with vehicles.
I work at a GM dealership and know the horror stories of their truck frames rusting.
One thing I liked was that RAM uses a painted frame, GM had a bare metal frame dipped in a wax coating, that's it...
Ive had this happen twice now, both while backing down a driveway. All of a sudden the brakes lock up, and on the dash it says "BRAKING!!" across the whole display.
I'm in reverse, backup senspors are on, I didn't think this truck had an active braking system? It must or I have a major issue...
Hey, I have a 2019 Rebel with the E-Torque, and air suspension. I've searched through all the settings and can't seem to find the "Eco mode" setting? I've never seen the light come on the dash or noticed it go to 4 cylinder mode.
Am I missing something or is this not on the Rebels? Thanks guys.
