Replace it with an H8. You got 5 years which is about 2 years more than anyone else on here. Not worth the hassle and uncertainty to try to stretch it.

I guess I got lucky. I had the truck into the dealer for a cracked manifold (66k w/ Mopar extended warranty) and asked the service guy to see if Ram would help with the dash. They offered to replace it for $550 with Ram eating the remaining $800. I said yes and so far no rattles or squeaks.

Don't beat yourself up about using a sun shade or garage. I have used a shade religiously since day 1 and my dash just started bubbling on either side of the center bump. I think it's heat plus time and most will develop this problem. Not sure how I'm going to proceed from here, gotta do more...
