Sorry took me so long to answer the question. I haven’t been on the form for a while but, yes, I love the cover it fits perfectly. I can open the MFT either way with the cover in the closed position. It’s perfectly watertight. I live in Seattle and it’s never gotten a drop of moisture in it...
I have the MFT with no rambox, replaced the factory brackets with ones from rightonbracket.com and installed a Retrax MX pro.
It fits perfectly and no leaks even though it sits outside in Seattle weather.
I'm guessing I'm the first one who bought brackets from Pete. I posted them here a few weeks ago. Although they may not be quite as rigid torsionally as the factory brackets, they're pretty heavy duty (3/8"thick and slightly wider ), more so than the 5/16" bolts and sheet metal they screw into...
I bought mine from a local dealer because I wasn't 100% sure it would fit and they were selling it installed.
They charged me USD $1899.00 installed. If I had a kid still at home to give me a hand , knew how easy it was to install, and knew it would fit I may have just searched for the cheapest...
No issues with split tailgate if you swap out the brackets. Can be opened barn door or standard drop down without opening the cover. Been raining for 2 days and bed is bone dry.
I replaced the factory brackets with some custom made ones of 3/8" steel from https://rightonbracket.com. When you remove the factory ones and look at the size of the bolts and thickness of the steel in the bed at the attachment points, the brackets I had made were much more substantial than...
I helped the dealer do the install. There is a video on the website and instructions that come with it.
No drilling, clamps that bolt on, drain tubes fit into factory holes by the cannister on each side.
I Just had one installed by a local dealer. I watched some and helped some. It was pretty easy, just like the video on the retrax web site.

Took 30-45 minutes.
You assemble the cannister to the rails, then lift the assembly up into the bed, Make...
I ordered them from Pete at Rightonbracket.com undrilled. ( they are 11" on each side and 2 1/2" wide) then drilled them myself after templating from the factory brackets. Here's a template.
I took a picture with the cannister , but the brackets are covered up
I acquired brackets of 3/8" steel from Pete at rightonbrackets.com, drilled them to match the factory brackets, and installed a retrax pro mx cover. Fit like a glove. The new brackets appear stronger than the factory bolts that secure them and the steel part of the bed they are fastened to. Love...
The brackets are 3/8" thick, 2 1/2 " wide, 11" length on each side. Got them from rightonbrackets.com , ask for Pete. (503) 433-3406 He knows the whole story and is very responsive. They had them done and shipped out the same day.
They said there is a bit of space on either side of the cannister and after viewing the install video on the Retrax website, it looks like it should work.
I was thinking of the Retrax Pro MX. There's a local dealer and when I told him what I was planning, he seemed to think they should work. Going to stop by today or tomorrow.
I had some 3/8” thick brackets fabricated to replace the factory ones which seem over engineered.
The bolts that secure them are only 5/16” . Ordered them at Rightonbrackets.com from Pete.
