I believe the opt7 delay is worse than the putco but both have delays.

Just pop the whole harness off at the bumper and do it that way it’s a lot easier.

I removed mine.

It’s all about technique, watch a few videos on YouTube.

Night shades and wet sanding/buffing, and it doesn’t matter if you have cross path/blindspot sensors.

Did you get your adapter and do the install yet?

Based on your wants/needs I would probably choose the Touring or S type. The ATAK will be too loud for your situation and you’ll likely regret it and that’s coming from someone who owns one and loves it.

No problem, I never removed the tailgate but it is a bit tight but not too bad.

Mine is centered off the license plate as I found it the least obtrusive.

No drone, as far as the wife/ toddler thing if he loved the charger he should be equally happy with the ATAK.

I’m running the ATAK on my Limited and love it, yeah it’s loud but that’s what you signed up for when you purchased it. If your intent was to steer him away from the ATAK I don’t know I just watched the Hammer down video and it made me proud to have it installed.

No it doesn’t matter, when you go to mount it you’ll see why I mounted mine off center of the license plate and not out further as I think you asked about that earlier. Wire it up and test it’s working properly before mounting it.

I mounted mine with the wires running on the outer ends and then tie wrapped the wires and control box up in the frame by the bumper using 12” tie wraps. Sorry no pics.
