My stock Wrangler's on the Rebel suck as well. When it gets close to 10 degrees Celsius and it's wet? Forget about it, so hard to launch off the line, lol They were OK when new but now with some good mileage on them, terrible.
I bought a set of Copper Discoverer winter's when I first...
I know this has been discussed elsewhere but I took some pics of mine today to share with anyone interested.
I actually took my truck in for the noise heard when turning to the left (FYI, it's the treads of the Wranglers, catching on the front left wheel well liner and the liner was replaced)...
For anyone in the know, when you buy a brand new Rebel (mine is a 2019 and if it matters, leather, Level 2, etc) do they come with the all weather mats as a stock piece? In that, all the trucks have them?
I ask because when I bought mine, the sales person said it came with no mats. Zero. Not...
Now we're talking! Thanks to you both.
Just looked at the American Trucks site, how do you like the look of them? Some of the customer pics seem to show that they are a lot thinner than the stock ones? Maybe too thin?
I want to get some black lugs for my Rebel but not sure which to get? The cheap ones on Ebay and such, seem like they may be too cheap, and likely to chip? And I don't really want to spend $200 (in Canada FYI) on McGard or Gorilla if I don't have to. If I do, so be it.
I painted my existing...
I love my Rebel. Inside with leather, Level 2, pano, it looks luxurious. Outside it looks bad ***.
I'm NOT a fan of trucks with oversized rims. I just don't get it and I think it looks funny. That's me, not you. The Rebel seems like the best of both worlds. And 3.92's in the rear? Can't go...
I bought mine at CW Limited. The top itself is great, tri fold hard top design, and I bought it with a group of 4 guys and we all got a nice discount. I think the top with tax came out to $450 Canadian or so.
That said, I have no idea how long the latches will last. They are cheap and a weak...
This reminds me of my experience where the sales girl said "oh yeah, the truck doesn't come with carpet mats." And when I picked up the truck, it had cardboard on the floor.
Ahhhh no. They gave me mats and apologized. It's the dealership. I never went back and do my maintenance/recalls at...
Maybe the Kevlar ones are different, but I was referring to the stock Rebel Wrangler tires. They are fine and great in the dry and warm, but once the temp drops, they're like stones.
Those tires are OK when new but as soon as I got some mileage on them, and the temp dropped to sub 10 degrees Celsius and wet? BRUTAL. Could not leave a light or stop sign without spinning the back tires.
That said, I bought some Cooper Discoverer M+S and haven't looked back that I sawp on...
Thanks mate, I'll keep an eye out for that second letter. I didn't even realize until looking into this thread that they actually ground right through the mat. Unbelievable......nothing like buying liners only to now have salt creeping into the carpet
Any Canadians here? I only got a letter saying they need to grind the mat, which they did and ground right through the damn thing.
Does this mean I need to wait for another letter, saying a replacement mat is available?
Thanks
I can't stand the MDS and I absolutely can't stand cycling through gears to 8. My wife thinks I'm crazy as she has no clue when MDS is on or not (how, I don't know....) but she does love driving around in Tow Haul mode, as do I.
Mileage be damned, I don't care so don't offer, please, but am I...
Hey guys, I had the exact same issue and it was only on full lock left and it was in forward or reverse. In fact, when I would be at speed, full left lock AND hitting a bump (like imagine going up a driveway with a bit of a curb lip at the bottom) there was a LOUD clank noise.
Of course, could...
Thanks everyone. I never in the past put them on tight (was always hand tight, nothing crazy and some of these vehicles were 500 HP Trans Ams - LOL 500 HP seems like nothing these days, doesn't it?) but the damn filter, when I did the first oil change, was on so incredibly tight, it makes me...
