    Front bench seat question?

I have the bench seat - initially really liked the new console, but to me in made the cabin feel smaller. I keep the center flipped down 99% of the time, it makes a comfortable armrest and while you don't get the cavernous storage space of the console it does have a lot - there's a compartment...

    Tire pressure sensor accuracy

This is the first vehicle I've owned with individual pressure readings on each tire. For those of you who have had this feature for a while, how accurate do you find the sensors to be? I was getting some different readings so this morning I set each tire to 38psi, measured with a high quality...

    Price negotiated from MSRP

If you are a USAA member go to their website and you can print off a $1,000 rebate code - you don't have to use their car buying service to get it, but you do need to print a form with a rebate code to give to the dealer.

Just for fun my truck has a name.

My wife named ours Rambo, because it feels big and aggressive to her.....she drives a Honda fit ;o)

First impressions - a basic Lone Star

I'll be doing a rail mounted hitch in the bed. And just discovered that no one has brackets out yet to install the rails in a 2019, will have to wait a month or two....not longer, I hope. We're picking up a new 5th wheel in the spring so don't have to have the hitch in until then, but will...

First impressions - a basic Lone Star

Thought I'd post my first impressions of my new Lone Star that I've had for a couple of weeks. Replacing a 98 Ram, will primarily be for towing a light 5th wheel (5,000 pounds) extensively and ordered outfitted for that purpose - quad cab, level one equipment, tow mirrors / brake controller, 33...

    Stock stereo - any reviews?

Stock stereo is fine for me. Before I ordered we looked at trucks with the stock stereo and with the Alpine w/subwoofer, listened to both, decided that the stock was OK.

    Deposit on Special Order?

My dealer asked for a $500 check but never cashed it, gave it back to me when we did the final paperwork.

Not many 2019’s on the road?

I've only seen a couple on the road in Austin, but the dealers seem to have tons on the lot and I expect to see more soon. Once a few of them get out there and people see them first hand I would expect more interest....this is a really nice truck, and once you see it in person it would be hard...

    New forum section

Ordered my Lone Star quad cab on May 31, it arrived at the dealer July 18. MSRP $41,125, paid $32,587. Only had it a few days, but my initial impression is that Ram knocked it out of the park with the 2019's. I still have my 98 quad cab - still running strong and hope to get many more good...

    Cargo light not shutting off

alwi 228, it turns out that you were right! Even though my dashboard "tailgate open" warning was off, I opened and shut it again really hard and that did the trick. This aluminum tailgate is so light, and goes down so gently with the automatic damping, that it's counter-intuitive to really...

    Cargo light not shutting off

Wow, you had me hopeful for a minute because in fact my tailgate was ajar earlier this afternoon and when I went to drive off I got the warning on the dash. So I just went out and tried again, with the tailgate firmly shut.....no dice. All the other lights went off a minute after unlocking but...

    Cargo light not shutting off

My lights are on manual. I tried them on auto, same problem. The cargo light is supposed to come on for max 60 seconds when you unlock the truck, and it had been doing that....now it just doesn't shut off on its own and you have to hit the light switch inside to turn it off.

    Cargo light not shutting off

When I unlock the doors on my Lone Star, which has the upper cargo light on the back of the cab but no other bed lighting, the cargo light comes on and does not shut off, I have to shut it off manually. I've only had the truck 3 days but pretty sure it just started doing that this afternoon, I...
