Agreed! I really like Tacomas, had a couple of them before my family grew. Now that the family is older, I could get away with a smaller truck but the comfort, it would seem like work now to drive anything else, especially long trips.
I say this with experience as I am on my 3rd Ram, 3 different generations. You have nothing to worry about long term, those quirks will simply just be there for the life of your ownership. Tongue in cheek but take comfort in knowing that those same quirks will exist through the life span of the...
I went up 2” from stock tire size and my speedo is accurate all the way up to 84 (highest I’ve gone in the truck) and I never reprogrammed. I don’t get it but the Speedo and GPS from phone matches.
I seen one on the road the other day. Kind of reminded me of the old box style bronco with the top off. Not my cup of tea when comparing to a full size pickup but I can see the allure. This is however coming from a guy who’s next pickup is probably going to be a Tacoma. ;). My family is...
USB3 will allow CarPlay and AA. USB4 will just charge so you get the best of both worlds so to speak. Some customers want rear passengers to have audio access, some obviously do not. Kudos to Ram for including both. You could always get a splitter and make them both use USB4.
I hear you for sure. It’s frustrating and all of the automakers do it trying to keep up with each other. They all claim to have the latest and greatest, they just can’t claim it will work. Call me old but I would never buy a vehicle with auto braking or autonomous driving. I just can’t put my...
I like my truck to look showroom ready but it’s fall! Too much fishing and hunting to do right now. I’ll be in the driveway mid-December with frozen hands making it pretty again.
I think automakers have seen the light when it comes to Nav and Communication. They’re good at making vehicles, Apple and Android are good at making the aforementioned. True, they do include a basic system but that is just for old time marketing sake to keep up with the other automakers.....who...
Last year when I put my larger tires on, I measured the Speedo vs GPS on the phone. Speedo showed 59, GPS was 60. I called it good enough, I would just adjust cruise control down a mile or two from what I felt was a safe “Let’s not get pulled over” speed. Knock on wood, no R&B’s in the Rearview...
Yep, USB drives have been a good solution for many years now with Uconnect. You just have to keep updating them which people may not like. Note that when you update them, Uconnect may not see the new songs as it is still recognizing the drive name as a volume it’s already scanned. A quick fix...
I discussed this in another thread quite a while ago. You can get that button to work, it just depends on the music app you have installed on your phone. I believe Google Music and YouTube Music may make it work but you are limited to 1000 songs. It’s been a while since I’ve played with it so...
That’s a tough issue to prove value over. Maybe do some quick research on tinnitus and how that condition affects the quality of life in those affected by it and then make that relation to a product you are forced to use as it’s what you can afford. ?? It’s stretching I know but them not doing...
Picked up a shiny new phone this weekend. Connected and worked fine on my 8.4. I have not used it much yet. Nice to have full Bluetooth control again vs my android phone when browsing songs, artist, genre, etc.
Depends on the wheel. Here is a pic of mine. These are the updated pads as well as calipers with additional legs on the clip.
The only thing you could try without taking it apart is a big dab of grease and try to work it in. Be careful of too much though, you don't want to get it on the pad...
Ahh ok, then a similar issue to me and others. The lobe of the pad is squeaking against the anti-rattle clip.....which it's job is to prevent that...ironic.
The original clips that came on my truck had a PTFE coating that wore off, when that happened, the chirps started. The upgraded pads came...
That's an interesting one. I would lean belt or bearing but that is just squeaks with vehicles, hard as heck to determine where they are coming from. Maybe get a buddy to lean their head out the window or stand outside to see if you can better locate the area.
