Rear Fog Lamps

My RoW bumper pad showed up and it's correct, with the cutouts. I'm trying to figure out which wiring harness part number I need for TRX. I think I have sourced all the parts but I'll wait to elaborate until everything has been shipped successfully.

I've paid for balance parts (fogs, brackets, hardware, switch, wiring harness) and should have them in my hands by mid-March. Will update the thread when they arrive.

If they wont sell them to you from a dealer in the states, you could try calling a CDJR dealer in another country (Australia) and see if they will ship them back to you. Shipping will be a few $$ though I'm sure
It's been a journey, and it's not over yet. US dealers can't get them, and dealers outside of the US won't ship to US. Luckily, I bought one from a parts retailer. Found the other one at a junk yard in Sweden. Had a buddy in Germany buy it. He has it now. Waiting for him to ship it to me!

Hi everyone, has anyone completed this mod? What were your findings? Quick question—were you able to get the cluster to display the rear fog light pictogram? I tried manually triggering mine with AlfaOBD, but no luck. Also, regarding the OE switch with its four different modes, what steps are needed to activate it?

Thanks in advance!
Did you get them working? If so, which Alfa settings. I've swapped out my bumper harness--with one containing the LPG wires and plugs. Waiting to receive the second lamp.

Any tips on how to unpin from this connector (Rear Bumper harness). While I don't need to unpin the big ones, I can't even release them (just to understand the system). The smaller ones that I do need to unpin seem almost impossible.
I finally figured it out. The white tab slides (barely) to release the secondary lock.

Can anyone help me with Alfa settings? I turned Rear Fog Light Present to YES. Also set Usage-Connector F Pin 5 and Pin 39 to "Rear Fog Light". Nothing.

I made progress today.
CBC-Features-LED Rear Fog Light Present-YES
CBC Config I/O Connector E Pin 39/Connector F Pin 5: Rear Fog light- ON (I think), maybe YEs
CBC Config I/O Usage -Connector F PIn 5:-Rear Fog Light (have no idea what High Beam Shutter is)
CBC Config I/O Usage-Connector E Pin 29-Rear Fog Light " "
There's one more I didn't understand:
2014 CBC Config I/O &Feat.-Fog Lamp Switch/Analog Spare Input #6 Present-Pin G2. I think it was already ON; anyway, I didn't change it.

Now I have the 4 presses on the switch working, and rear fog is on. But, no icon on the cluster for the rear. Maybe there's a cluster setting to turn it on. I ran out of time. Or, maybe my cluster doesn't have the icon because US trucks don't have rear fog?
Did you use MSFT or Android?

Might have to have an export cluster. You can see if you can force the telltale light for it to come on (if it’s even present) by connecting to the instrument panel, go to activate diagnostics, and activate rear fog lamps.
If it’s there, it’ll illuminate for 10 seconds like in the pic below (that’s a 2023+ full digital cluster, so those might just all have it):

Thanks, Jimmy. There's no rear fog light icon in my cluster. Another part I need to search for! Anyway the fog lights work almost correctly and the Front (green) icon stay on for each of the 3 states. For some reason, I get push 1-Front, push 2- Front + Rear, push 3 Front (think it should be rear?)

Working now. Thanks to Jimmy's response, I've discovered there's not a Rear Fog icon in my cluster--need an Export cluster. The switch works almost correctly. I get-- Push 1-Front, Push 2- Front + Rear, Push 3 Front (think it should be rear?).

I have found this cluster in Sweden. The truck it's from has rear fog, and it's the same year as mine, 2022. Any idea if I could transplant the rear fog icon to my cluster; and leave everything else intact, and functioning in my cluster?

Ok so I don't have the built-in rear fog indicator on my '22 either. You can test your dash cluster by holding the "down arrow" steering wheel button and pressing the start button with your foot OFF the brake (ACC mode). The gauge cluster will go through a short test and light everything up.

@brental1 Sorry I don't know the answer to your question regarding the EU cluster. But it seems like it would work?

Thanks, I did a similar test with Alfa, and there's no icon in my cluster. It's not a big deal. The front fog icon lights in all 3 ON states. I'll just remember that 2nd press is F+R. But, I'd like to have the Rear icon working. I contacted two of the 'cluster repair' services and they can't add the icon. I'm impressed with how the icons appear through the mask or grid. Maybe the EU cluster is it's a separate circuit board for the icons--but don't think I want to get involved with changing mileage, hours, and other stuff. I've read on some forums for other brands that people have added an LED and resistor. Don't know if I want to get that deep--but I'm going to take a look at my cluster and see.

While I've confirmed there's no icon (LED?) present in my cluster, do you know what this setting does: 2014 CBC Config I/O & Feat.-Fog Lamp Switch/Analog Spare Input #6 Present-Pin G2? Is it related to this, BCM C7/G?

That’s just so the bcm knows to use the fog lamp switch input on the headlamp switch. This setting has to be set to yes when equipped with fog lamps, otherwise, pressing the fog lamp button won’t turn them on.

OK, thanks. Just a curiosity question. Is the "export" headlamp switch electrically different from the US version; or does it just have the extra rear fog light symbol? I can't imagine that the fog light switch applies different resistance values with each press. I'm guessing the BCM "counts" the number of presses and turns on the correct light?
