Transmission falling out of Drive on downshift, blinking, displaying "shift to P" and back

Wanted to give everyone here an update. I have cleaned my throttle body + reset procedure a total of 3 times, each time it buys me about 2-3 days where the "Shift to P" error will not happen. So my next logical step is to replace the throttle body. I've ordered that part and it should be here Wednesday. Going to put the new TB in, perform the reset procedure again, and run some Techron through.

The last time I cleaned it / posted about it, @RamCares reached out. I explained I had taken the truck to the dealer 3 times for this issue and each time they could not replicate. My truck is now out of warranty, and I explained that if I take it a 4th time then it should not be on my dime (since they failed to fix it the prior 3 times). Long story short, she said I would have to pay to have them look at it again. So, not exactly the customer service I was hoping for. This error code is going to get someone killed trying to cross a busy highway or railroad.
that's BS. this should be a recall.

Hello neutral drop support group. Well my neutral drop is back. I cleaned the throttle body back on August 4, 2022, and it stopped dropping the truck into neutral while driving. The neutral drop while driving returned today October 10, 2024. This time I was in accelerating traffic on a freeway on-ramp and vehicles swerved around me. Will pull the throttle body when I get a minute and report back. Also reported this to NHTSB.
Happy new year neutral drop support group! Here's an update. Had two years of no drops into neutral after cleaning the TB. Then in October of 2024, it did it once, and then cleaned the TB again right after that incident. It is now January 13, 2025, and it has not dropped into neutral since then. So I dunno...

TRUCK 2019 RAM LARIME 4x2
Same thing dropping into nutrual while coming to a stop. I took to local dealer Daphne AL and they checked the camshafts, that wasnt any issue. They contacted chysler with no remidy. I havent cleaned the TB yet or added the Tecron fuel treatment. I will do this asap and report my findings I to have made a claim with NHTA
I have been having this issue for 2 years. Happens more then 4 times a month and sometimes daily when the weather is cold.

Same on my ram,2019 it's been doing this since 2022 and around 60k, now at 82k it started doing this After I swapped my battery in 22. Couldve reset prior software with the actual issue

I’ve had this issue for a while. Brought the truck to the dealership, they flashed everything and it seemed to be fine for a few days. Issue came back and feel like it’s worse now. Truck is back at dealership, I opened a case with RamCares, they reached out to the dealership today to have an open line of communication and to potentially get a master mechanic on it. After reading the threads feel like this isn’t a solvable issue. Thinking about selling my baby 2019 Rebel only 40k miles. This is ********.

Capriciously dropping into neutral is terrible option for a vehicle that no one would place on an order sheet. :p

I've had success with disconnecting the battery and then removing the throttle body and giving it a thorough cleaning, as suggested by others here.

Some of us have also reported this condition to the National Highway Transportation Safety Board (NHTSB). Link here: Report a Safety Problem | NHTSA

Lol right?! After reading through the threads, I will ask the dealership to pull off the TB and clean it if they don't have any other solution or don't get a solution from Stellantis. I'll report back in this thread with whatever solution they come back to me with, or if they end up cleaning the TB for me. Thanks @Vulpes
