Happened to me again, the thread originator. I’ve noticed a number of other times recently that the RPMs dropped to near 0 and the engine nearly stalled. When I go in to the dealership for my ABS recall and next oil change, it would be a good time to clean the throttle body. If @RamCares , FCA...
i havent experienced this issue in a long while. after several repairs failed to resolve it, the dealer head service tech actually found some consistency duplicating the issue. he noted the RPMs drop at some instant in time as the truck bucked out of gear. you might be able to see it on my gopro...
Do any of you have the bulletin they're working on publishing? Any paperwork from the repair? FCA now has to fix this for me outside of warranty. Mike never returned any of my 5 calls. I did notice this case ID 11441324 from the NHTSA (https://www.nhtsa.gov/vehicle/2019/RAM/1500/PU%252FCC/2WD)...
Dealership tried the driver door latch replacement with me at my cost of $535 parts and labor. Didn’t change symptoms or frequency, just my account balance. Remember the transmission is not slamming into park but rather slipping into neutral.
Also left a voicemail with mike McDonald a week ago and called again today. He’s not responding. It would really help if you would post your paperwork @securityguy .
I can tell you it is not the pcm, tcm, electronic shift module, door latch, battery, known weak point of camshaft position...
I know many have talked about how the active grille shutters and the active air dam systems are connected and both react at 35 mph. And that the U11E9 errors may be attributed to the active air dam. I tried unplugging the active air dam harness and have not experienced the error again. The seal...
Want to link these threads together in hopes of finding a solution:
Transmission Falling out of drive
Everybody else seeing the RPMs bottom up prior to the occurrence? Truck doesn’t downshift correctly
I too have this U11E9 error code intermittently occurring on my 2019 with 65k miles on it. I have only the active grill shutter system, not the active air dam. So RAM had not insulated this connection sufficiently by design, from the factory. It seems like nonsense to replace the entire AGS for...
I neglected to check back on the forum as I hadn't experienced the issue for months, but it happened once again last week. It is linked to moderate braking and a rough downshift in the 3-2 or 2-1 range for me. For some reason, the transmission remains in a higher gear too long upon deceleration...
I got the truck back the other day and did not experience the issue on the way home :D I spoke with the service manager a bit and learned more about the cause and (hopefully) solution. The issue could be duplicated more readily, once or twice by the manager himself, under "aggressive" braking...
My latest update on 2019 Ram 1500 Laramie Crew Cab, 59k miles, window leak:
After 3 or so denials from dealership and Ram cares, and around the time i began using the term lawyer, scam- and requesting responses from the manager of my case specialist- RAM cares decided to cover the glass crack...
The dealership opened a STAR case on the issue and concluded to replace the transmission control module. Unfortunately the issue occured once on the drive home from the dealership with wife as witness. Since then i got a wide angle gopro video anticipating the issue and starting filming just...
I just experienced the issue again under 60,000 miles after replacing both the selector and the door latch. Shame on me for not requiring proof that the existing latch was defective. I don’t know any other means of recourse than to sue FCA to bring resolution. I’ll be reaching out to lawyers to...
So this has window surround plastic crack issue exactly as pictured in STAR bulletin has been documented with 2 dealerships (at my own hardship as neither provided rental coverage). The first dealership recognized the known condition but "rejected cost assistance" measures as I no longer have...
