Wow, I never considered they'd just rip out the cables to the horn. I guess one of the positives from the 4-note Cadillac horn I installed is that my crimping is a lot stronger than the press fit wiring of OEM, and the fourth horn is actually in the engine bay using its own power lead from a...
I did 20% up front and 5% on all the rear windows. Makes a big difference in both privacy and keeping the heat out. Also did a 5% strip to the AS1 line.
Friends, I was contacted by Stellantis Corporate about this. It appears they are doing the right thing, so I have updated my initial post to reflect this.
I appreciate everyone's comments on this. I really like the truck, even given the issues it's had and that it's required the most attention of all the vehicle's I've owned, especially within this mileage. I looked at GM, Ford and Toyota before buying this and it was (and still is) lightyears...
Thank you my friend. I've generally had very good luck with Mopar vehicles and customer service, which is why I've convinced my family into buying them.
The Hemi in my Jeep went 100k before I got rid of it for the RAM, and did not have the exhaust leak issue either.
This is correct. I should've done it with the driveshaft problem when I had the chance. Thankfully, the equity I have in it makes it easy to get rid of.
Normally I wouldn't even ask, but given that I brought the vehicle in under the normal warranty for this exact issue and it was not addressed, it does not seem unreasonable to ask for reimbursement in this case. Don't be obtuse.
It's not that I expect there to be no issues. Every man-made product will have issues. What I expect is for a company to do the right thing by their customer, especially loyal ones, when these problems occur.
My 2019 had a cracked manifold. Make sure you stay on them to look at it, my dealer tried to shrug it off because "the bolts weren't loose and we've never seen them crack."
You can't mistake the smell and sound, I finally got mine fixed and am still fighting with RAM to reimburse me for the...
I am editing my original message to reflect some updates to my story, but I am leaving my overall experience with the truck for an honest assessment.
My 2019 RAM 1500 has been one of the most difficult vehicle experiences I've ever had. I had a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit before, and my...
I'm still waiting on the 2nd replacement driveshaft to get here, but this time it is being checked for the correct amount of grease on the slip yoke splines before it goes on the truck. I still stand by that my original and its replacement were from a bad batch that didn't have any/enough...
Send a message with your vehicle's info to RamCares so a preliminary case is opened. Someone from FCA's customer support team will contact you and get things moving. They've been a tremendous help for me. I'd love to share what all they have done for me, but I don't want to post that on here -...
I'm starting to get there. I'll let them do the 4th attempt on the driveshaft, and if it still does it, then I guess it's just a bad design and I'll live with it.
They did get my rear window replaced quickly at least (developed the crack in the plastic surround, started to leak - so I couldn't...
Unfortunately it is still an ongoing process. Since the driveshaft was replaced last year, it has been torn down and greased twice - the last time being this past April. It is still not resolved.
The good news is FCA is taking this seriously, and we are working together behind the scenes to get...
It could be that whatever new pinion angle the lift has caused is allowing the shaft to move more freely. They are supposed to move in/out, I think the problem is that the very minimal angle they come with from the factory doesn't force it to move back into it's "neutral" position very easily...
