There are seven ring grooves cut in the body of the shock. Counting is the only way to verify where they're set. If they're at setting 5, you'll see2 above and 4 below.

I had my fronts done today with 3M 30%. It is clearly not as dark as the rear but it's the look I was going for. The rears are just the factory tint. sorry for the lousy pic, but it's raining.
