Like GearJunkie340 posted, you need a Security Gateway Bypass to make changes. AlphaOBD will work w/o the Security ByPass if you only want to “Read” the diagnostics and clear certain codes, but if you want to make changes to the ECU/BCM, you will need a ByPass. The 2 big ones that everyone seems...

Have you tried this a bypass? If it works and it’s half the price of the kaodtech’s or infotainment’s, that’s awesome for those that haven’t bought one yet. Thanks for sharing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yes, an inexpensive android tablet will work. I was in the same boat and bought a 7” Android at Walmart; no issues with the AlphaOBD. That said, I’ve noticed people talk about TazerDT and it’s benefits/detriments as well as same for the AlphaOBD. I went w/AlphaOBD because I believe it can do...

Just so you know, the Security ByPass is just so you can make changes to the vehicle’s computer; the OBD is what actually communicates between the AlphaOBD and the vehicle. The OBD will also allow you to read the vehicle’s computer and very often, clear error codes. Sent from my iPhone using...

    Trailer Tire Pressure Monitoring System

I’ll look into that, thanks. By body, are you talking about the clips inside the cab or on the bumper? I tried to take a pic of the bumper harness on top to see what wasn’t visible, but had no luck, lol. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Alright, I’m a little lost here: How do you release the seat backs forward? My bottom cushions fold up, but not sure how to release the seat backs? What about the harness on the bumper, how difficult was it to release? I’m just worried about breaking the white clips. TIA.

Was there a trick to releasing the harness? The white connectors, did they come apart easily or did they break?

Did you need to remove the whole seat or just the bottom cushion?

I’m an Apple User, so I bought a 7” Android Tablet at Walmart for $50 and went w/OBDLink MX+ ($99 on Amazon); there are cheaper OBD Readers, but the MX+ has both iOS and Android compatibility, free updates, and it’s own OBD App (To use as just diagnostic w/o AlphaOBD). For the Security Gateway...

It was already in the uConnect under “Mirrors,” but like Jimmy07 mentioned, it may be only optioned on Night/Sport Editions when it comes to Bighorns.

That explains a lot. Also, Jimmy007 mentioned that the Bighorn Level 2s don’t have memory mirrors, but the Night/Sport Editions do; mine is a Night Edition.

Well then, I purchased the Kaodteck bypass because infotainment’s site said I had to remove the cluster and customer service said same; now I have 2 bypasses. I’ll need to check and if you are correct (I’m sure you are), it seems the infotainment bypass is easier to install/remove. Sent from...

Negative my friend; I do not have memory mirrors. They are just power folding mirrors, but no memory function or memory controls. Besides, both Nekit and I have pretty much the same trim, 21 RAM BigHorn Level 2, so if mine works, one would think his should too.
