Ordered truck with Offroad package but didn’t get 1” suspension lift?

My non Off Road 4x4 was the same height as all the Off Road trucks at the dealership, but noticeably lower than the Rebel.

That another interesting find. The rebels always look taller to me but I think that's a combination of the fender style and the fact that the tires are 1" taller with stiffer sidewalls.

Rsonedecker, when griebs303 showed you the photos of his shocks and spring, you said, "The strangeness continues - those are the ORP part numbers…" But griebs303 said his Laramie Sport has the Off-Road Package so wouldn't those be the correct part numbers for his truck?

They are, that's why I said "The strangeness continues..." (as in, things aren't making sense)

Has anyone actually pulled a rear spring from both a ORG and Non ORG and measure them. That would give people a base line so they could check theirs. Or how hard is it accurately measure while installed?

I will be able to once I get my truck, but a member here put an ORG rear spring in a non-ORG (same style build) and got 1" lift (Hahny). I have confirmed that the ORG front and rear shocks are longer than non-ORG as well.

But keep in mind, they could be different spring rates but still the same height.

Laramie with off road group here as well. I will be going to a dealership to compare to a non-offroad group now that you guys have pointed this out and I'm curious. We will see.

I really have no idea, but could the 1" lift with ORP be offset by the extra weight of the options included in the ORP?

North Packages around here get the 1" lift. The original package announcement indicated a 1" lift.

These should be the part numbers on your truck (non-air-suspension) - check your back shock and spring:
Rear Spring - 68262686AB or 68262684AB
Rear Shock - 68262592AC

Also there will be a green sticker on one of the shocks that says "Shock Absorber - Lifted"

Here is a picture of my friends limited with the ORG add on. This is the rear passenger shock and on the bottoms label it says lifted. His truck measures the same height as my Rebel and both have the air suspension.

Just hit the dealership after visiting my son. Laramie fender flares effect the measure by .5” because they extend under the fender. All Laramies were 21.5” front and 23.5” rear, big horns were 22” and 24”. None were ORP or North Edition. Not sure how much these trucks will settle in the first hundred miles so take that into account when comparing with on the lot trucks.

Yeah, that’s the Extra HD shock for air.

Rear is 24" from center hub, 39.5" to ground.
So right now you've a 1/2" over the non-ORP Laramies on my dealership lot. Do you know if these were your measurements when delivered?

Also, don't compare your ORP to an ORP with air, as 1) the part numbers are different, and 2) it's unclear whether the air suspension assists in maintaining the truck at the 1" lift or allows the truck to settle below the 1" lift, or in cold weather and sitting will end up sagging. I'd stick with comparing non-air suspension Laramies and Big Horns, but make sure to account for the 1/2" different between the two.

I am not to sure if those were my measurements at delivery, I am guessing they were pretty close. It was parked in a row of non ORP Laramies and I remember being surprised it didn't stick up even a little more then the others. I am just past 1k miles on the truck now

I don't know about you, but for me, it would be really, really difficult to spot height difference of 1" just by eyeballing, without actually getting accurate measurements. Just saying.
