Lowered the rear 2" last night.

It does look good! And looking at those pics reminded me how RAKE used to drive me out of my mind. I'd buy a RAM and could barely even LOOK AT IT UNTIL i leveled it. I even put a 6 inch lift on this 2 wheel drive 2016 after i leveled it, and absolutely loved the stance, it was perfect!

But with my 2019, i love her to death, rake and all : )

I'd even go as far to say with THIS new truck, the rake actually ADDS to the sporty look of it, , and that is a FIRST! Maybe its the all black color or the new body style, not sure, but i'm not touching a hair on her pretty little head : )

Its so weird, if u scroll and just look at the one of the 2016 rake vs the 2019 black one, to me they look like night and day... The 2016 looks soooo, "off kilter with a terrible rake stance," but yet the 2019 looks soooo sporty and raring to go! Maybe its just me?!

With each thing i used to do, (level, then bigger wheel offset, then bigger tires etc ) each thing would sacrifice a little of the ride, and before i knew it, the truck was driving ME, not the other way around! The ride on my 2019 is like a dream, i ain't giving up one iota of that!

I see exactly what you are saying!!! It is all about the symmetry!!!

2019---The black color helps blend in the wheel well gaps in the rear...the black colors vehicle/wheels blend perfectly together from body part to body part

The nose is longer, sleek, sporty, sexy

The CAB(and longer) is taller looking, making the bed look shorter, yet the balance is the bed and nose look almost equal parts/lengths on each side of the cab(front vs rear).


2016---Definitely the colors make you see each individual part of the vehicle vs. the blend of the different blacks on the 2019.

The nose is short/bulky--thick/strong. With the cab looking shorter, along with the bed looking longer than the nose, hence the difference I see stock vs stock where the rake sticks out more on the 2016 and the 2019 masterfully blended from front to rear.

Your pictures showed the differences perfectly!!! I have always enjoyed how owners personalized their trucks, depending on what lane they are in-----lifted, lowered, country, sports etc...!!! I just wasn't into trucks for years...

My boneheaded problem is I want a bit of each lane in my truck....lmao!!!

Hdmlnium1's definitely onto something with the handling that I want with the lowered concept---but not too low!!!

My front end is 36 in, but my back end was 38in with the Mcgaughy springs. And I switched to the springs you recommend and now I'm at 37.5in.
Not sure why I can't get level....

Just ordered my springs. How was the install, instructions included? Havent looked under my truck yet.

Very easy. If you have a good floor jack and a drop hitch you can do it with the wheels on. Basically remove the bottom shock bolts on the rear, lift the truck by the drop hitch high enough to where the springs come loose (should be just before the tires come off the ground), slide the springs out from the fender well above the tire (might have to push the top of the spring down some and then lean it towards the front of the truck to come out of the perch), remove the rubber isolator on top of the original spring and install it on the new spring. Then do the reverse to install. Make sure the isolator is properly seated on top of the new spring and make sure the two nipples on top of the isolators are properly lined up in the upper perch. DM if you have any other questions.

I think u are fine. I had a 1 inch rake on my 4th gen and it's good incase u thrown stuff in the bed or tow.. then it won't look super squatty

I think the ride is great! I had a set of Mcgaughy springs and the ride got way too soft, body roll was horrible in corners. Installed these and the ride stiffened up some and the body roll is gone.

Sorry to hear that your truck didn't get closer to level. They say every half a coil you cut off will lower your ride by about .75" so if you want it perfect level sounds like you need to cut off 1 full coil off the back springs. That should drop it another 1.5"
Air bags is a good idea, that way you could be able to carry a load or tow without any issues.

Thanks! I talked with Rob at Accessory Partners and he told me .5" for every full coil you cut. That did not seem exactly right to me.... im liking your plan, im going to start with a half coil.

Popped them in today, simple. I did put the rubber dampers on the new springs from the old ones. Rides the same about perfectly level. I like it.
