Rebel GT Exhaust question

Been following this thread for a few years now. Looking back into it because one of my factory non-GT resonators rotted out on the inside and is making a hiss at certain rpm’s. (They’re glass filled mufflers, best I can tell via a boroscope)

It’d be great if we could source the GT resonators somehow; that’s a decent compromise for me. I grabbed their part numbers in case I could score them as part of someone’s take-off system, locally.

I saw the pics that show them as straight through; that’s really interesting. I wonder if the have small ports inside and serve as helmholts resonators (like a Corsa muffler) seems odd to go through the trouble of building a can if it’s just straight thru pipe.

The G/T resonator is straight thru with a small hole on near each end.
Just get a pair of B2 Fabrication resonator deletes..they are Supporters of the Forum..check the bottom of the Home Page.
They're pretty inexpensive and you reuse your tips.

Been reading through this over and over...do trucks equipped with the GT exhaust from the factory use a 3rd resonator or is it only the 2 in the back? I have 2020 with only two resonators in the back. Asking because I want to replicate the sound exactly.

I could have sworn, up thru 2022, all 1500 DTs had a front resonator before the muffler and a rear resonator in each tailpipe..and then starting in 2023, there were only resonators in the rear (the front was deleted).
My 2022 Rebel G/T had a front resonator, my 2023 & 2024 Laramie G/Ts didn't have the front resonator.

Yeah, mine definetly does not have a front resonator. I bought it new, so I know nothing has been modified. Did you notice any sound difference between the 22 GT and the 23/24 GTs?

The '22 Rebel G/T exhaust SUCKED!
I complained to the dealership that it was the incorrect..it was no different than any other Ram 1500..basically quiet!
I know the PNs are very close between the G/T and non-G/T mufflers & resonators..but on this G/T they were identical..must have been a factory error??
I custom ordered the Rebel..and ended up turning it down I was so unhappy about it.

Good to know. Last question I'm going to ask. How would you rate the interior noise? I've heard over and over again that there is no droning on the highway or when MDS activates. Is this true? I don't really care but I have two young kids and a wife...don't want to hear them complaining lol

The '24 G/T exhaust sounds fantastic and has ZERO drone!
I swapped on the Mopar/Borla exhaust that has 2.5" tailpipes w/o resonators..a bit louder & deeper, and it also has ZERO drone! For some reason, the Mopar/Borla was actually quieter IN CAB than the G/T exhaust, but slightly louder out of the cab (and I almost removed it), until I installed a Crutchfield ANC-Cancel Bypass Harness..then I could hear it IN CAB like I'd hoped.
The Mopar/Borla has gotten a bit louder over the last year or so, but not crazy at all.
Last week I had an Alignment done and the tech drove my truck to check if it was good..when I heard him drive by, I swung around thinking " damn that sounds good, what is that?!" and then realized it was MY truck..no one's ever driven it without me, so had no idea what it sounded like.👍

They stopped the front resonator during the 2020 model year. My end of model year run 2020 Built to Serve did not have one .

Has anyone purchased this exhaust recently? I am searching online for both 68517364AA and 68517365AA and together I am looking at close to $1,500!!! I thought we were getting both for under $1,000... Have the prices gone up that much, or am I looking in the wrong places?

That wouldn't surprise me..metal prices are up.
I think I paid just under $1500 for my Mopar/Borla and now it's pushing $2000.

Yikes....I went to the dealer for an oil change today and test drove a new HEMI. Immediately fell in love with the sound. But for $1,500...not sure I love it THAT much lol

You aren't kidding. But now, since these exhaust systems are going to be a dime a dozen coming standard on these trucks...I am sure it won't be long before they start showing up on marketplace / ebay for 1/3 of the price. Hard to justify $1,500 for an exhaust system that will fetch $300 on the street. lol

$300...🤣🤣🤣
Guys are 'trying' to get more than that for standard exhausts on FB, Ebay, CL..but I like your optimism!
