I like how the moderator is covering his *** by removing my comments for calling out BowDown for his racist comments towards Indians and the Indian community in Frisco Texas. I have noted this and screen shot all prior posts. Censorship sucks especially when it comes to hatred. Have a nice day redneck boy BowDown
At the moment... neither. Wait for the 6.4 hemi, we all know its coming soon.

never an issue with mine can't hear it idle can't feel it idleI don't believe that myth. I have collectively 300k miles between 2 HEMIS and never experienced this. Both Dodge and GM have had lifter issues due to bad metallurgy in the cam, lifter wheels, both, infrequent oil changes or all 3
hurricane for higher towing capacity although some master technicians claim the 6 isn't good for towing. my v8 hemi just fine for tooling around normal driving road trips etc. whatever you get it has the 10 year warrantyThoughts?

More displacement takes more fuel to run. That's how it can be worse. Just look at the Chargersz Challengers, and Durango's. The 6.4s are EPA rated at lower MPG, and real world get worse. That won't change just because you put it in a Ram.I am getting 14.3 in suburban driving on my 2022 rebel 5.7 etorque 3.92s. 16 highway. Ridiculous.
I don’t see how the 6.4 could be any worse and if it comes without etorque I would be all in.

I can feel my 20 idling but I attribute that to the VVT, has idled that way since new, it accelerates silky smooth but not as smooth as the I6.never an issue with mine can't hear it idle can't feel it idle

As for comparing to guys who have done a 6.4 swap, they are also running custom tunes in order to make the swap work and I'd wager most have other mods done at the same time. Which can help with efficiency over a stock tune 5.7.
I have friends with 6.4 HD trucks who say their fuel mileage is absolute crap. One guy even bought an older power stroke Ford to pull his camper because his towing mpg in his RAM was single digits. My point is I am getting ridiculously bad mpg with mine, way below average for a 5.7 etorque. Just randomly saying the 6.4 will get worse mpg than my situation doesn’t hold true when most folks are reporting as good or better mpg in there 2500s unloaded. Maybe for folks who get somewhere close to the rated 19/18/22 will do worse with a 6.4 but mine would likely not be much worse than it is.
