Digital Key setup 2025 Laramie

Same version. But I think it updated recently (I have auto updates on), which might be why the key icon disappeared now. It’s very odd.
I have the 1.98.1 like others and I don’t have anything on my app even remotely like the screenshot above.
Following…. Fingers crossed

Doss anyone have any info on how to setup the digital key on a 2025 Laramie? I took delivery today and the dealership gave me the backup key card but had no idea how to pair the digital key. The screen says to open the Ram app and select the digital key “tile” but that doesn’t exist in my app. I can’t find a YouTube video or any info on the web at all on the subject
Spoke with Uconnect today, digital key still has not launched

Not surprised. But very curious about the couple of folks here that seem to have it. Doesn't make sense to me.
Very weird. Definitely not trusting mine, but I have it. Hopefully they make it more reliable. I always have my phone, would love to not carry the fob as well.

I'm not in any way doubting you - hope it didn't come across that way. Just saying it's weird. At the very least, it'd be proof they have it, and it works. So why the heck don't they roll it out?
You're saying you don't need to have your FOB, but you carry it just in case? I would love to have this work with my phone, and even my watch - because I ALWAYS have my watch on.

Hi everybody, RAM Dealer here. We just received this communication from corporate and I wanted to share here for others who might find this forum via Google, as some of our customers have while also seeking an answer on the digital key.

To: U.S. Ram Dealers Re: Ram Digital Key FOTA Update Campaign for 2025 Ram 1500

2025 Ram 1500 trucks with Smartphone as a Key Capable (salescode: GX6) have been built and delivered
with the required hardware to support Ram Digital Key and have been provided with a physical Near-Field
Communication (NFC) card. The physical NFC Card allows for entry and starting of the truck without the
use of a traditional key fob. Each NFC Card is programmed to each unique truck and must be treated like
a traditional key fob. Trucks with GX6 will be delivered with the NFC Card located in the center console.

Beginning in March 2025, Ram will be starting a firmware over-the-air (FOTA) update campaign to provide
Ram Digital Key capability for 2025 Ram 1500 units built with the Smartphone as a Key Capable feature.
This campaign will entail a series of FOTA software updates with rollout based on the customer’s
geographic location. Customers may receive up to three FOTA updates, one per week, before receiving
full smartphone as a key capability.

Upon receiving each FOTA update notice, customers will have the option to immediately download or
schedule in advance their software update. The estimated total installation time for the FOTA updates is
26 minutes. For the FOTA update to begin, truck must be in Park with the ignition Off. During the FOTA
update process, customers will not be able to drive their truck or use the radio. Should customers
encounter issues with any FOTA updates, they are advised to schedule an in-person service appointment
with a dealership.

The following 2025 Ram 1500 models include the Smartphone as a Key Capable (GX6) feature:

• Rebel when equipped with Rebel Level II Equipment Group (A65)
• Laramie when equipped with Laramie Level II Equipment Group (A67) and Bucket Seats (CAC)
• Limited / Limited Longhorn when equipped with Limited Level A Equipment Group (A79)
• RHO when equipped with RHO Level 1 Equipment Group (A6H)
• Tungsten

Following the successful installation of all FOTA software updates, customers will have Ram Digital Key
(Smartphone as a Key) capability and can pair a compatible iPhone or Android device to their truck.

To begin the pairing process, customers must be enrolled in Ram Connect to create their truck’s first
Digital Key. Digital Key creation capability is covered as part of a 10-year trial of Ram Connect that is
included at the time of new vehicle purchase. Enrollment in Ram Connect is only required for the creation
of a truck’s first Ram Digital Key. For any issues pertaining to Ram Connect, please contact Ram Connect
customer service via phone at (800) 777-3600 or by visiting Ram Connect’s customer service website, link
here: Ram Connect.

My truck is sitting in the driveway connected to Wifi, been riding the motorcycle the last few days so it can update at its own sweet time lol

When someone gets the update, or one of the three, please let us know the new SW build number. I'm currently at FCA-MY24.U35.26-PROD
I haven't experienced a SW/FW update yet, so I assume there will be some notification on the screen during or after.
