Same here, the key card works by tapping on the door and putting it in on the wireless charger spot. I did have a few times where it didn't work that seamlessly opening the doors, etc. so I just keep it at home. Not confident enough to just bring that and not the keyfob. While it's nice cause it's thin like a credit card, I still want the Phone as Key (Digital Key) functionality. Still no signs of a release yet?

I'm about ready to pick up a truck tomorrow or this weekend... When you guys are referring to "Level 2" Package, are you talking about the Technology Package or the Laramie Level 2 Equipment Package?

I picked up my new 2025 Limited yesterday. The digital key situation is interesting. I’ve also reached out to dealer and he is going to do some digging into this. Hopefully they get this rolled out sooner than later.

So, I just got off the phone with the Ram Connected Services customer service folks and they told me that the Digital Key stuff hasn't officially launched yet and there is no ETA on that launch...
Did they indicate that it will eventually be available for vehicles that were supposed to have the feature but were already built? Or did they indicate it will only be available on vehicles that will be built after the feature is available?
Hoping it's just a software push.
No ETA yet from what I read up above.
Pickup up my custom ordered 2015 Ram 1500 Limited Longhorn on December 11, 2024 (it had been delivered to the dealer a week earlier). It came with the digital key card and it works. Anyone know if duplicate cards can be ordered?

When you say "the digital key card and it works" - do you mean the credit card sized key or actually using your phone as a key through the app or otherwise?

Just checked the credit card key on my week old longhorn, worked perfectly. Might be worth keeping in the wallet incase of a lost fob. Ed

At least confirms it's only a SW update, and "planned" for 1Q25. So we can at least hope it shows up sometime next year.

I would imagine there will be no advance information released on this. Hopefully at some point in the future, someone here in the forums will say "Hey - I just got an update and see this option now!" We likely won't hear anything else until then.
I just bought a Limited today from Mac Haik in Houston and when I called them about locating my card he said that’s the first he ever heard about a digital key. Mine is nowhere in this new truck!!! I’m about to loose my mind!!!

Wow. Sounds like a very reliable dealership. It’s not like Smart Phone as a Key isn’t a highly advertised feature (even if it doesn’t work).
Go print the page referenced above from the manual and bring it in to them.
Chances that it wasn’t in the truck when delivered from the factory are very low.
Chances they’re playing dumb are a lot higher.
Just picked up my '25 Laramie level II and my dealership was excitedly aware of it, they gave it to me in a baggie with a little pamphlet on how it will work eventually. Surprised to see dealerships not aware of what seems to be a pretty cool new feature. They did reach out to someone to find out an ETA of the roll out for the app and didnt get anywhere, but the key card itself works for unlocking doors and starting my truck at the moment.
