New here but interested in this mod. So the 1 wire was all you needed to get this working (along with OBD)?
Did it?Sorry guys, I haven't done the install. Still on the list of projects to-do! Unfortunately just a lower priority one now![]()
I've obtained almost all of the parts. I have the headlamp switch (with F and R symbols), the bumper wire harness and the Left fog light. I can't find a R fog lamp anywhere. All the parts sites show the fog lamp as available; but they don't actually have it. Where did you get yours? Thanks, BrentThanks! This is very helpful - I've updated my table. I didn't realize that the module was mostly reflector, with two LEDs per lamp for the fog function. These actually stand out a bit more than I had imagined - I'll probably apply a smoke film to the lamp modules when I go through this mod.

I've not done it yet (still hoping for find the Right lamp); but I've found out that that you have to have the 2 wires present in the body harness, at the connector that goes through the floor. I think they're WH/DG and WH/OR; but check Jimmy's post to confirm. I've already installed the "4 way" switch in my truck. Before flashing, it works just like the original switch did; ON-OFF. I think (hope) the switch will activate and the Rear icon will show on the cluster when I flash Rear Fog to the truck. Now I'm wondering if the only difference in the switches is the rear fog icon. If you mean the operation, I understand it's 1st press= Front fog; 2nd=Rear Fog; 3rd=Both; 4th=Off.Hi everyone, has anyone completed this mod? What were your findings? Quick question—were you able to get the cluster to display the rear fog light pictogram? I tried manually triggering mine with AlfaOBD, but no luck. Also, regarding the OE switch with its four different modes, what steps are needed to activate it?
Thanks in advance!
Yes, I have 68338768AD. SAE F2 19DT FCA in on the lens. There is a large L on the back, on the housing. There's a mounting pin on the left side of the light. I'm guessing the pin would be on the right for the Right PN. I'm sure I could make a Left into a Right; but at this time, I can't even find another Left. You mentioned that you already have one of the 2 fog lights, correct?
can you confirm that you see “SAE F2 19DT FCA” on the part? Can you also confirm that there is no L or R written anywhere? (I can’t see one from the pictures I have).
By looking at the shape and design of the light, it seems like there would not be any difference between the left and the right … so that would explain why everyone has a stock at 0 … because if there was a difference, a L or R would be written … it’s in the SAE specs …
I would try to fit the one u have on the other side to see the fitment.
that would be amazing if it was the case!
Wow, thank you. I've sent a request. I have a friend in Germany who would forward it to me if they won't ship to US. Maybe a day. I've checked and the 2 required wires are present in my cabin harness (amazing since this option would never be installed in the US). I've bought a bumper harness with Rear Fog and Passive Entry (another project) wires. I have 2 mounting brackets; they're common for either side. I've already installed the correct headlamp switch. Seems the hardest part is cutting the holes in the step pad. The posts I've read say to remove the complete bumper to do this.I found this
There is the difference in design ...

Here is more pictures ... because this link wont be good for ever
I think that these guys might sale it to you? If they have a hard time, you can always generate the shipping documents and UPS (or another) will go pick it up ... so they dont need to deal with the customs.
How long to do you expect it would take to do the whole install ?
Are you going to cut the step pad in lieu of purchasing the overseas replacement? Is there a template for the cut on the back of the step pad? thx.Wow, thank you. I've sent a request. Yes, I plan to cut it. A new one is over $250. If it's like the fog lights, US dealers wouldn't be able to get it (export only). I don't have a template. I'm hoping I can just eyeball the locations and use the dimensions of the lamp to cut the holes. And maybe some Dap!Are you going to cut the step pad in lieu of purchasing the overseas replacement? Unsuccessful. I arranged for a freight forwarder to pick up the parts at the junk yard In Sweden. But, the junk yard's site allows only EU addresses to be entered. I couldn't use my credit card. Junk yard said to pay with Klarna--again only EU addresses are valid. So, while I have a shipping method, I can't buy the part! I asked my friend in Germany to buy, and have it delivered to him. He has ghosted me!How did the part chase go?
Also, I added the option in AlfaOBD, named "CBC Features - LED Rear Fog Lamps Present" which doesnt seem to be the right feature ... I cant have the fog light switch to behave as mentionned earlier (4 different "stages").
thanks guys!
Did you swap in the headlamp switch that has both the Front and Rear Fog Light icons? How did the part chase go?

Good luck. If you come across any Right lamps, buy 2 and I'll buy one from you. I'm somewhat concerned that dstlaurent hasn't been able to get his to work. I guess I can make them work with an aux switch; but hope I can make the headlamp switch work correctly.Just FYI I'm starting to gather parts. I bought a bumper trim piece with cutouts for the fogs online. Has not shipped yet.
My buddy in Germany came through. He bought the lamp for me and it's in transit to him now. Good luck getting your parts. I'm just stumped on how to unpin the bumper harness connector. Sure wish I would have bought a harness that included the trailer tire pressure wires. I may need to cut and splice.Parts sourcing update: RoW bumper pad (with cutouts) should arrive today. Other parts I ordered (some on eBay) were "cancelled" as I feared they may be. Now I'm working with a Ram dealer in Germany to source and ship....more soon.
