2019 Ram 1500 have diesel available?

Not to steal Vern's thunder... but Hemi's have also been known to hit those distances :geek:

Let’s Gooo Ram!.. We’re waiting..

I just watched the TFL video of the F150 diesel fail the Ike Gauntlet, not once but twice.

Would be a shame if Ram also rushed to market and did the same.

Transmission is the original 8 speed no repairs shifts quick & firm. I have changed the fluid 5 times 3 times with filter.

Yeah from what I have read the computer has the diesel f-150 so nanny managed its neutered. Really could benefit on the practical side from a quality professional tune like GDE. I don't think they have the trans dialed in yet either. It seems the opposite Ram has been testing the Gen 5 truck with the gen 2 diesel for quite a while now. Ford may have rushed to market because of the success of the ED and that it has been such an acquisition vehicle. GM seems to be taking its time as well.

That sounds right to me, Vern. Would you say the F150 has a similar feel and characteristic of the Ram ecoDiesel?

I'm not interested in buying, but I'm going to go test drive the F150 this weekend to get a feel for the truck and help me decide if I actually wanna wait until this summer to get a Ram.

Haven't driven it and don't know anybody who has or especially who has driven both. Somewhere online a guy documents & videos a test drive and takes one from I believe LA to San Francisco on one tank of fuel. Has a good report and I believed averaged over 30 mpg.

This Summer???

The Ford diesel has an EGR recall: FSA 18E02 - EGR By-pass valve replacement. And some are reporting codes being thrown for EGR cooling.

Will Ram have any better luck?

Any car shows coming up where they would make some sort of announcement?

I would suggest stay away from ecodiesel. It is sheep with ram horn.

Been there done that. Mpg gain is minimal with fuel price difference and no fun unless you use most for towing.
