Did they give you advice on what to do in the meantime? Delete the app?
They did not specifically say that, no. Seemed to work so far though. If it acts up again I’ll certainly post.

Presumably this is impacting hundreds or thousands of cars, right?

We called our dealer and service center this afternoon and explained the issue. Said there is a whole thread about it in Ram forums, and they made a quip about there's always noise on the forums. Asked them point blank if any other vehicles experiencing this issue and they said just one other. Don't want to waste time on a diagnosis that they won't be able to make, when they just need to better communicate and plan for a response to this incident. Until then, we deleted the app and also turned off automatic updates via wifi in the car itself. Driving fine since then, and keeping an eye on voltage via the dash. But certainly not taking it anywhere far until we know it's a reliable vehicle.

This just came out last night. Definitely looks like telematics box is the offending module. Not sure why deleting the app itself would stop it (I would think you would need to actually stop the connected services trial), but if it works in the meantime, try it until they have a fix:

There was an update for Android on Jan 23, 2024 version 1.83.4 (1058)
I wonder if there was an glitch in that update that is causing a request to pull info via connected services even when not using or requesting the info.

Most UC5 comes with various trials to pull info like GPS Location, fuel, etc.

I'm sure no one will try it but, could try and side load an older apk and see if it works (assuming Ram doesn't request it update when using an older version).

That's the only reason it should have anything to do with the app imo.

Bought my new 2024 Rebel less than month ago. Battery dead after 5 days, dealer replaced saying bad battery. Okay I thought sh*t happens as it's been super cold here in OK last month. Have had to charge or jump start over 5 times since including this morning which brought me to this forum. Dealer says "that shouldn't be happening" I'm like really? Thanks. So I'll be spending at least two hours at the dealership today waiting for a new battery. Hopefully they figure it out soon. I'm deleting Ram app in the meantime.... SMH
I’ve had exact same issue. 2024 loaded Laramie. Truck has been in shop for a total of 8 days the past 3 weeks since buying. I was told after demanding a new truck that mopar is aware of the issue of battery dying and are looking to create a solution. Was also told to delete ram app on my phone and disconnect my iPhone from my truck in the settings. Will keep updated if this actually works or not.

Picking up a fully loaded 24 Laramie tomorrow. Now I’m concerned about it dying. Any recommendations for someone about to get in for the first time to prevent the battery issue?

Same problem with my 2 weeks new Ram. Please keep us posted as to the solution and/or getting a new truck. I am furious! Could the Lemon Law be applied here?

Exact same issue. I’ve had mine two weeks and actually “had” it less than one week. First they had no clue and couldnt recreate. Saturday they decided it was the “automatic battery sensor” wasn’t calibrated. They fixed. Good to go. Today it didn’t start again. Today they told me it’s the Ram App that is causing a glitch in the Matrix. Jump the truck and delete the App was the advice. I have informed the dealer I require a solution by noon tomorrow or I will be enforcing the Lemon Law. Today was event four (takes three to make a lemon). Keep me informed on your story and I’ll do the same.
Please let me know regarding applying the "lemon Law" in this case - mine died for the second time after 2 weeks of buying it.

I just got a call from my salesman at the dealer they had an internal meeting regarding this issue. Apparently it is affecting thousands of vehicles nationwide and they think it stems from the ram app. He suggested I log out of the ram app and delete the app from the phone Probably should do that for anyone who has the app that is connected to your Rams I’ll let you know how it goes most likely picking up the truck in a few hours

Was your truck good to go this morning? The dealer removed the TBM fuse on mine, but that takes out your radio and A/C (everything in the middle stack).

I've had the exact same issue. Went to lock my truck up at night and noticed instrument cluster was lit up. Dead battery the next morning. Charged battery myself, & got to dealership. Of course they could not replicate and said battery was charged and good to go. Put in gear and 2 different engine lights came on. After 2 hours they got the codes cleared out. Don't have much confidence in a new truck with 600 miles on it.

My issues were always in the morning after the truck sat for 15 plus hours. Truck sat for same amount of time last night into this morning and started right up. Maybe deleting the ram app on my phone and forgetting my device in the truck is the short term solution? Will still keep updated but have been in touch with dealership this morning and was told I’d be able to get a new battery along with patch for the recall once it comes out.

As far as the lemon law, my dealership has been very accommodating and the GM himself said if this issue continues they’d get me in a different truck. Only issue is the 2024’s aren’t be produced much longer.

24 Laramie. Picked it up today, my dealer informed me it was an issue with connected services and therefore did not activate them. He said connecting my phone should not be a problem. I just went out to check on it and noticed some interior dash lights on. Never downloaded the app. Going to delete my phone from the truck and hope for the best in the morning.

Im following this thread closely, but admit im confused by this issue as it seems most are to varying degrees. Im not having this battery draining problem, lucky me, but in all seriousness, why arent i ?
Truck was built almost 2 months ago and has been in my possession about 1 month.
I only connected my wifi to the truck a couple weeks ago and put the app on my iphone at that time so perhaps i missed an update ? Maybe thats the reason im not having this problem ?
Ive had every trial activated and the app has been functioning as it should.
My current version is my23 T27.34 Not sure if thats current ?
I just now went out to the truck and unchecked the wifi connection. Think ill leave it that way until we all figure this out. Im guessing with wifi unchecked, over the air updates cant happen - true ?

could be only a small number overall are affected.
could also be that you truck was built before this issue started.
could be that whoever supplies the affected part changed an internal part that is not working as it should.

no one really knows at this point and most likely we will never be told.

Following. Currently seeing the illuminated buttons and push to start screen in my new 2024 Ram 2500. Luckily I caught it today and disconnected the batteries before they were drained all night. Hoping for the best on what they find
