not sure how your driver tail pipe comes out but there was NO joint on the drivers side...its 1 pc from muffler to the resonator. Working from a creeper builds character....lol and teaches patience....lol couple hrs. Chrome tips BEFORE.

You Jack up the truck, put Jack stands on the frame and let the axle droop.

Working off jack stands, no creeper just flat back in concrete driveway. I've done four Borla installs. Only cut one. 45 minutes start to finish without cutting. takes some precise sndling, but it comes out without cutting

I dropped the spare tire and removed the heat shield. That made things WAY easier. After jacking up and allowing the rear end to hang with jack stands under the frame there’s plenty of clearance to remove above the axle without cutting. No reason it can’t be done in less than a half hour including install of the new exhaust. I put the GT exhaust on so was essentially just like installing the one piece factory exhaust again.

No need to drop spare tire or remove heat shield. The time spent doing that isn't made up in quicker removal of the exhaust.

Either way will work. I tried both ways and removing the spare and the heat shield provided way more clearance and doesn’t add much time. The heat shield is only held on by a few bolts. It’s not like it’s a one hour project to remove and reinstall both. Under 10 minutes max if you take your time. Removing the spare tire winch bar from under the passenger seat takes up most of that.

If you do just make sure you have at least a -12 offset because at full turn the inner tire wall can rub the control arm because the arms are so “squared”

Guy building the bumper said that the bumper is not good for using as a recovery point. The factory mounting point aren't designed to be used for that. He said to just use the hitch receiver. So basically it's just for looks to match the front bumper.
He said anyone making rear bumowrs for these trucks should include the same warning.

sorry you had to figure that out the hard way but THANK YOU for letting us all know! I'm gonna move it over today in my AJT fob.
Leave it to a Navy guy to want the boat mooring style.
I remember almost none of my rigging/knot tying stuff from the Army 12B training... maybe like 3 knots haha. I can't remember if you have a boat or not but good on you for not being afraid to go with that style.
Guys with the Ramboxes on your trucks. So i couldn't find it anywhere online or in the literature but i considered it to be a logical thing for them to shut off when you close the lid. so i put my phone in there and filmed it to prove it to myself hahaha

That's just the standard style this shop uses in all his bumpers. There is still a hole if you want to put a shackle onLeave it to a Navy guy to want the boat mooring style.
