I just talked to an FCA engineer. They told me they programmed the eco light on 3.92 trucks to come on more than 3.21 trucks so you guys won’t fee as bad about having to compensate for being so feminine 😉
It sure what you are talking about. 3.21s are definitely the more dainty feminine gear ratio.

Not to worry. You don't have it broken in yet. With 3.92 gears your eco will stay on more since the truck is not lugging against its own weight. Notice Blet has to be going downhill with a tailwind to have it kick in. Yea, he forgot to mention no passenger older than 6 and no cargo beyond TP (grocery store pack, not Costco) 🤣
Searching back through this thread & others, most notice an increase in ECO mode frequency at 5-6,000mi. I'm sitting at 8,700 with zero increase in ECO mode frequency since driving it off the Mark Dodge lot at 11mi. I would have to think it'd be broken in by now unless Ram changed the programming on when to fully unleash ECO mode or possibly dialed it back considerably due to complaints of vibration & noise when it does active.

A 3.21 driver doing 80mph+ passing folks just for the sake of being in the front of the line will get worse economy than the 3.92 crowd content on setting the cruise at 70 and enjoying the ride.

Ok, ok, I will refrain from gear ratio references.

But really, I noticed the biggest differences in my truck after 15k. Everything has seemed to settle in and be much more predictable. With 35s and a lift I still see eco quite a bit if I am under 70mph. My problem is that I am not under 70 enough..... my milage is poor by my own choices.

Why would I drive below the speed limit, holding up traffic? But then I don't care about mileage, it gets what it gets.

You mean a 3.21 truck cruising at 80mph getting the same mpg a 3.92 trucks getting at 65 mph
