Just curious, what did you guys use to take off the painted over bolts? I think I tripped the tip of 2 of the bolts by trying to muscle it so make sure you don't try to Muscle the Bolt on and remove the paint off first haha.

Wire brush attachment for a drill works great. A grade 8 nut works great first also, thread it all the way on then all the way off.

I used a grade 8 thread restorer nut first, cleaned them right off. Some others had luck with the aforementioned wire wheel and with a couple treatments with paint remover

That was my method. I tried the wire brush first but too time consuming. The grade 8 nut made it a cakewalk.

Does anyone know when the Black Mopar 82215301AC ones will be available at the dealer? The website just says "late" availability. Also, does anyone know the price, I've seen conflicting info on that.
Just talked to Salerno Duane in Summit NJ, told to call back Dec. 26. I could not find anything on the web with that part number but confirmed the number with Mopar parts at 888 528-4364. No Matte Black Running Boards on the Ram build site, just black tubular.
Looking at TAC i4 also - plain Jane, but OK with me. TACs are available on ebay and Amazon, also Walmart but not for 2019 Ram.
I was also looking at Extang Fulltilt for tonneau cover - No Good, not made for 2019 crew cab, will get back to me if it will be available in the future. Got back to me - no plans by Extang. I have been using the Extang Black Max for 17+ years and has served my needs. Not for everybody as the cover has "temperature issues".

I like to go with Mopar brand when I can but they sure make it hard sometimes.

I was able to connect with an engineer over at FCA and he said right now all the parts they have are going to the assembly line but that the dealers should be able to order them. Of course, my dealer says they can't so who knows.

Those are the steps I went with blind when I ordered. Happy to say that they are exactly what I hoped for and would have looked for after market, had the Mopar parts been hideous.

Really got lucky on that one. Anyone interested in more details, I can take detailed pics of mounting points and the boards profiles. They feel like a solid product, the whole family, me, wife and two kiddos gave'm a good testing.

There is confusion created by mopar and FCA. Yes 82215301AC is the correct part number. They are called different things depending on where you go.
Here they are called "Matte Black Painted Running Boards": https://www.ramtrucks.com/ram-1500/mopar-accessories.html
Here they are called "Step Kit-Tubular Side - Mopar (82215301AC)": https://www.suburbanautoparts.com/oem-parts/mopar-step-kit-tubular-side-82215301ac and also here: https://www.tascaparts.com/oem-parts/mopar-step-kit-tubular-side-82215301ac
Checked these out at a dealership (https://www.chrysler.com/hostd/windowsticker/getWindowStickerPdf.do?vin=1C6SRFGT7KN625770) a few hours ago and the window sticker has them listed as "Black Tubular Side Steps" and are the same as the "Matte Black Painted Running Boards".
Here they are called Black Tubular Side Steps: https://www.ramtrucks.com/build.ram...ERG,DFT,TUM,WBB,E1,DMC,UAA,Z6B,X8,PSC,23Z,APA

My take is that FCA/Ram call them "Black Tubular Side Steps" and Mopar calls them "Black Matte Painted Running Boards". The dealership ones measured 5 1/2" and I would say they stick past the tire's sidewalls when eyeballing the side profile line.

The dealership I went to did not have them in the computer and I did not have the part # with me. From what I can gather from my dealership and Ram Care they should be available Dec 24/26.

The Ram Build Site has them as a $645 option, while the on line price is a little over $400. I'll leave that up to somebody else to figure out why. Conjecture - Mopar is for parts FCA/Ram is the vehicle - Mopar has not caught up. December 24th/26th may tell.

Here is some "fun" getting the Owner's Manual if that wasn't enough: https://5thgenrams.com/community/threads/2019-owners-manual-wtf.1767/page-3#post-61674

I was interested in this thread to see different pics of step/boards mounted so I could find something I like. I purchased a 2019 Rebel Crew Cab this weekend & part of the deal was a set of Black Steps. The dealer only had the Off Road Style Running Aluminum , $995 82215508AB in stock so that's what I got. Just put them on today and really don't like the look due to the Gloss Black Lower paint accent on the truck. I think mine would look better with the Matte Black Painted 82215301AC so I think these are coming off & going back in the box. Thanks for your pictures.

Just picked ours up today. Ordered two months ago day before taking truck home. It was a surprise to the dealer as well as they didnt have an updated ETA about a month ago when I checked last. Like them very much, feel like they are built well and will last. Paid 450 + taxes for them.

Do you have a picture of your White Rebel with the off road running boards? I was going to buy some this week.

I found a set of the Mopar boards at a dealer 2.5 hours away. Well worth the drive. I think I have a problem with patience.

What is everyone doing to remove the paint overspray from the factory studs before installing the boards?

People are either using paint remover and a wire brush or getting a grade 8 nuts and threading it on there to remove the paint over spray
