Just curious, what did you guys use to take off the painted over bolts? I think I tripped the tip of 2 of the bolts by trying to muscle it so make sure you don't try to Muscle the Bolt on and remove the paint off first haha.
Wire brush attachment for a drill works great. A grade 8 nut works great first also, thread it all the way on then all the way off.Just curious, what did you guys use to take off the painted over bolts? I used a grade 8 thread restorer nut first, cleaned them right off. That was my method. I tried the wire brush first but too time consuming. The grade 8 nut made it a cakewalk.I used a grade 8 thread restorer nut first, cleaned them right off. Some others had luck with the aforementioned wire wheel and with a couple treatments with paint remover
@BlackBettyRamJamI added the Westin HDX Xtreme Running Boards last weekend to go with my Laramie Black package.View attachment 4807
I can't remember. I just took a nut that came with the steps to the hardware store with me and used the sizing boards they had. What size does the grade8 nut need to be
Just talked to Salerno Duane in Summit NJ, told to call back Dec. 26. I could not find anything on the web with that part number but confirmed the number with Mopar parts at 888 528-4364. No Matte Black Running Boards on the Ram build site, just black tubular.Does anyone know when the Black Mopar 82215301AC ones will be available at the dealer? The website just says "late" availability. Also, does anyone know the price, I've seen conflicting info on that.

Looking at TAC i4 also - plain Jane, but OK with me. TACs are available on ebay and Amazon, also Walmart but not for 2019 Ram.
I was also looking at Extang Fulltilt for tonneau cover - No Good, not made for 2019 crew cab, will get back to me if it will be available in the future. I have been using the Extang Black Max for 17+ years and has served my needs. Not for everybody as the cover has "temperature issues".
Just to confirm, the bars shown here for a Crew Cab are part# 82215301AC ? Thanks! Those are the steps I went with blind when I ordered. Happy to say that they are exactly what I hoped for and would have looked for after market, had the Mopar parts been hideous.
Really got lucky on that one. Anyone interested in more details, I can take detailed pics of mounting points and the boards profiles. They feel like a solid product, the whole family, me, wife and two kiddos gave'm a good testing.

There is confusion created by mopar and FCA. Yes 82215301AC is the correct part number. They are called different things depending on where you go.Just to confirm, the bars shown here for a Crew Cab are part# 82215301AC ? Thanks!
I was interested in this thread to see different pics of step/boards mounted so I could find something I like. I purchased a 2019 Rebel Crew Cab this weekend & part of the deal was a set of Black Steps. The dealer only had the Off Road Style Running Aluminum , $995 82215508AB in stock so that's what I got. Just put them on today and really don't like the look due to the Gloss Black Lower paint accent on the truck. I think mine would look better with the Matte Black Painted 82215301AC so I think these are coming off & going back in the box. Thanks for your pictures.
What is everyone doing to remove the paint overspray from the factory studs before installing the boards?
