Spends too much time on here
Same way everyone calls the knob a fake shifter. There is no mechanical linkage to the transmission with ether setup

Since we're talking shifters, has anyone noticed if their center console shifter makes noise when you push on the brake to get out of park? I know there is a cog or something that is supposed to lock it in place until the brake is pushed but mine is quite audible and I can feel it through the shift handle.
I have not heard anything so far, but I only have about 300 miles on mineSince we're talking shifters, has anyone noticed if their center console shifter makes noise when you push on the brake to get out of park? This is my 3rd Ram 1500 in the last 6 years. We also have a 2016 Chrysler 300 and a 2020 Jeep Wrangler. None of the other vehicles have been as noticeable as this one. Obviously my two previous 1500s had the shift knob on the dash. The 300 has the shift knob in the center console and the Wrangler has a shifter in the center console. Since this is the first year offering the GTs I'm curious if others are experiencing the same thing. Thanks for your reply.Yes. Mine does it. i would consider it normal, but thats just me.

Electronic shifters are my least favorite thing about my 21 Laramie. e.g., if/when I'm stuck with a dead battery, I cannot move the truck by putting it in neutral.
I'm an electrical engineer so everything electronic thing that replaces a mechanical thing just puts money in my bank account but I'll pass on this idea.
About to find out as I ordered one. Hopefully it works cause I need it mainly for the tire recalculation (HP increase is a bonus).Anyone else with a GT install a Pulsar on theirs? I found that it didn't really work that great on mine. I don't believe they had a chance to test it with the GT shifter(s), as mine was defaulting to manual mode, even if the shifter was left in Auto.
So mine's installed. Zero issues thus far. Only put maybe 500 miles on it, so nothing much. But I'm only using 87 tune with MDS.Anyone else with a GT install a Pulsar on theirs? Glad for you. I may try re-updating mine. It sucked pulling away from a drivethru or other occasions when I had put it in park, and forgetting it wanted to be manually shifted. So mine's installed. Now that you mentioned it, I've had this happened to me a few times...but only when I go from park to drive. And after driving I realize I'm in manual. Hasn't happened too often but enough to raise the question. I may contact Edge on that.Glad for you. I may try re-updating mine.
