How did you order with Level 2? When did you place your order? I ordered on 7/5 and Level 2 wasn’t even an option. Only Level B was available

Placed my order 10 days ago. They had the Level 2 option for the Laramie. I made sure that it wasn't Level B. The Big Horn only had Level A or B.

It's like you went to a restaurant and ordered a steak. Someone comes in 45 minutes after you ordered, and orders a steak. They bring the other person a steak, then walk over to you and inform you they are out of steak, and you will need to wait for the next beef to be slaughtered.

This whole thing reminds me of my first house I built....it sadly had a progress draw mortgage. So each stage of completion....the bank doled out money to the builder. That you paid interest on. So the builder gets to a point. Gets their money. Then they **** off and go spend your money on someone else's house. While yours sits. And sits. Then those ****suckers go onto another house with those peoples money....while now a couple more sit. And on and on it went. But they wouldn't always go in sequence either. So sometimes you would see more progress on this house while that one inexplicably sat. Hell....our house was framed when our neighbors broke ground. And they were in before us! Took nearly a year to get a 1,285 square foot house built.
That too was a clusterfuck.

2022 Ram 1500 Limited Night Edition | Diamond Black | 5.7 Hemi MDS | 3.92 w/LSD | Diamond Black | Limited 1 | Panoramic Sunroof
9/13: Ordered | 9/17: BG | 10/15: BX | TBD: VIN....VIN? What's that?

you really need to lean on your selling dealer because a VIN does not take this long

or maybe find a new dealer like mark dodge.

I don’t know if this is actually D1 or not. Will check with mark dodge tomorrow. at least feels like progress, finally.

A couple of interesting tidbits from today's pile of build sheets:
  • Over 50% of production was in the 179-213 VIN groups
  • Over 35% of production was in the 200-213 VIN groups
When ppl realized their 50k is going to be worth half that next year they went on a spending spree. Keeping the cash is stupid with rampant inflation

This is the exact email, word-for-word, that I got yesterday after trying to escalate with Ram chat. I thought it was something special, that I was making progress as well, but seems to be another automated response. I hope for both of our sakes that it is progress, but I’m not very optimistic!

So my dealer just told me that for limited’s the issue is blind spot which is due to chips. Says he has a number of limited on hold due to this…..🧐

I just called the Ram Cares line about my 119 VIN Longhorn.

The agent was very pleasant. After two long holds, I was told that she "couldn't access my information" but that she did see I had an escalated case and was making a note for "someone" to contact me

I did actually get my case number from her though, which was not in the email previously sent, so there is that.

So now I sit and wait for the Cara-bot to send me another form email with zero information.

This is literally why I didn't cancel my order when I couldn't get a couple things I wanted. My trade-in would only drop in value as I put more miles on it, and my savings would only be worth less over the next year plus. Now was the time.
