OMG! When the AS needs service out of warranty, you better be ready to sell out a few thousand. I’m getting PTSD just thinking about it.

Replacing the entire system is less than $2,000, I doubt repairs would be that much.

Hi all!

I ordered a 2022 truck at the tail end of May, shortly after the orders were switched to the 2022 model. I put in for a 1500 Bighorn with Level 2 equipment and a few other options. One of the options was the Mountain Brown interior. Does anyone think there is a possibility of still getting the brown interior since the truck was ordered so early on? Or is there no chance now that they've removed it from the bighorn line?

Thanks!
You may be able to get the Mountain Brown interior if you ordered in early May. The letter that went out to dealers saying that orders would be modified applied, I believe, to dealer stock orders not sold customer orders. I ordered a Laramie Quad Cab, which was dropped for 2022, but I ordered in May and it was built last week because the order was a sold order placed before August 4th. You may want to check to see if your truck has been built and download the build sheet to see if it lists the seating color - my build sheet listed the seating color.

Well that's potentially great news, thanks!. How would I check that and how do you download the build sheet?

I don't see that you registered your VIN on the tracker, so I can't look up yours. But if you have your VIN, you can use this link (adding your VIN at the end in all caps):

For what it's worth, I've found two build sheets that have Mountain Brown listed. So they are definitely building some with that color. Not sure what will happen with the later VINs, though. The two that I found were mid-June and mid-July VINs.

What surprised me the most was the elimination of the protection group from the Laramie models as well as the two tone paint options. I love my two tone Laramie.

My Limited build order that was issued on June 3rd still has the Level one, tech group and the protection group and I assume it will be built that way. Later Vins won't.
Do you have a delivery date yet? I placed and order for sameish in late august. no scheduled build date yet...

I’m waiting to see what Ram does for the supposed 2023 mid-cycle refresh. Wonder when we will start seeing those hints.

We're running problems due to these changes ourselves. There are massive problems with our 2021 Laramie paint--and after months of negotiation, Dodge/Ram/FCA/Stellantis (or whatever they're called this week) is going to replace our vehicle with a 2022.

However...they're saying only black interiors are available--on Laramies. We have the Mountain Brown, and black is a no-go. On the same token, I'm a little concerned since the ADB protection group is eliminated that it might affect our Off-Road package (or perhaps they've just consolidated it all into that and merely eliminated the ADB).

Is there an even newer list of changes? Besides the lack of diverse paints (it's a truck, where's the brown/greens/beige or even old man tan?), interior issue and so on, we've about every option you can get, and I fear they've chopped away at them so much that what they're offering is a lot less than what we paid for.
