Trying to see if we can get 10 more people to do a Tazer group buy. Discount will be $50 off as that's all they offer, but need a minimum of 10 people committed to get that discount. If you don't want to post, shoot me an email at [and I will compile a list to send to Z-automotive to get the ball rolling. Looking to replace the Tazer I got through a previous group buy that I stupidly broke

Where was this group buy when I bought one for the wife last April? :ROFLMAO:

I'm considering this, but honestly I'm not sure if I want to go with the tazer or alphaOBD. How many people have signed up for this?

I'm still in the research stage, but my understanding at this point is that you can do more with alphaOBD than you can with the tazer. I just need some time to sit and take a close look at both. I strongly suggest you do your own research though.

If you are trying to compare the TazerDT to AlphaOBD you should just stop. They are two completely different things. AlphaOBD is an app you install on a cellphone or tablet that allows you to access the BCM source code and make changes. The TazerDT is a plug in device, that also acts as a security bypass, that gives you added features through the steering wheel radio controls. Most of the features are "live" functions that require the device to be plugged in to use, and are things AlphaOBD can't do because they aren't part of the BCM source code. You just want to be able to enable factory options, use AlphaOBD. If you want other things like global up/down window control, light show, line lock, performance timers, and the other "live" features, then get the Tazer.

I plan on doing the BSM add on in a few months and also I would like to have my mirrors fold in when I lock the vehicle. Eventually I would need it to adjust my tire size as well but those are the main three that I want and need. Would you recommend that I just go with the alphaOBD then?

To get the mirrors to work you need the tazer married to your truck, it needs to be plugged in for the mirrors to fold. I think the tires can be done with both, bsm is done with alpha not sure if tazer can do this too.

Of course, I will stop all comparisons immediately! :ROFLMAO:

Seriously though, thanks for providing this comparison. I'm already familiar with what the tazer will do. As I already mentioned I bought one for the wife's truck. She misses having the ability to roll the windows down with the remote. And also wanted the mirrors to auto fold. I'm less familiar with alphaOBD though, and would like to learn more about what you can do with it. Which is the reason I am wanting to research that. Even if for no other reason than curiosity.
