That OT makes me feel better, I was fooling around the 2021s and the incentives are nothing right now.
I really hope they got a stack of chips to at least get out orders shipped out.

I just noticed something on the picture in the QSG with the center console-the cubby where the CD player and subsequent pocket used to be shows just a full filler plate now. I hope that is not the case-I used that cubby a LOT for my phone before because the Note 20 didn't want to fit correctly with the cord attached in the phone holder/charger area. With CarPlay and AA being wireless now I plan on putting my phone in the holder but I still would like to have the cubby available to use.

FWIW, the truck in the marketing shots and at the CAS still had the cubby area in it. View attachment 104881

That would be a bummer if they did away with the cubbyhole. I sold my GMC Canyon Dinali in May to get the ram because all of the storage compartments on the GMC are worthless. Nothing fits door dash console.

If anyone has it handy, could you post the link to the builds and window sticker sites?

Got an updated poc and total cost estimate back in July when the original 2022 pricing came out. Since then the base price went up $600. I asked my sales rep about that and she said she would check to see if the increase would be passed on to me. Today she called and told me that the dealership would honor the original price. I am impressed. Brookdale CDRJ, Brooklyn Park, MN.

Canada: Ordered August 18th just emailed for an update and still no VIN. Dealer mentioned maybe by the end of September 😑. When I ordered in August they mentioned likely end of Jan or into Feb when I see it.

2022 Sport Crew Cab 5'7" box 4x4 5.7 Hemi eTorque, Bright White, GT Package, Night Package, Level 2 Equipment, Bed Utility Group, Dual Pano, RamBox, tubular side steps, Spray-in bedliner, hitch and trailer brake control, anti-spin differential

Could someone confirm for me a couple things:
1. Do all 2022's come with remote tailgate release? The Canadian Ram site states: "Standard Dampened Tailgate. The 2022 Ram 1500 comes with a standard dampened tailgate with remote power release."
2. Does the G/T package come with a flat bottom steering wheel? I see it referenced on a bunch of articles however nothing on the official Ram package. "Leather-Wrapped Steering Wheel (SC4)" Not sure if this is the flat bottom or not.

Why are you level 2 and I have a level “B”? Is there a difference. I opted for all the options I thought

So for example if you ordered a 21' w/night edition and were switched to a 22' you'll get the new tech if any or i think i saw now a tonneau cover? If that's the case i wont be so upset about the wait.
I think it applies to 22 orders pre streamline(8/4) Since yours WILL BE a 22, it will most likely get the tonneau cover. Dont expect the price to stay the same however unless explicitly agreed upon

OK, for any and all of you out there that ordered the Trailer Tow Package and needed/wanted the TTPMS....if your POC has the version B (and even some that don't might be switched)....I received a communication directly from RAM that it IS a supplier issue that it's been temporarily removed from the truck. Supposedly it is both the wiring harness in the truck AND the instrument cluster that are lacking and they can't get the correct parts from the supplier at this time. It was made clear to me it will NOT be retrofittable later after-the-fact. I was advised to cancel my order and wait until it becomes available again and/or as soon as supply can be re-instated the feature will be added back to the trucks going down the line at that time.

It's very disappointing for me but I'm not in the position to cancel my order at this time as I've already turned my key fobs over for the 2020 and nursing the old Mercury Mariner along for the time being hoping it doesn't die on me until the new truck arrives.

I was told RAM is doing EVERYTHING they can do to keep the assembly lines running to full capacity and try to get trucks to all of us as well as dealers that are DESPERATE for inventory to sell and so subsequently some hard decisions are being made feature-wise (or lack thereof) to keep lines moving.

Just FYI for those of you that this matters to such as myself.....I guess I'll cross my fingers by the time mine is built they're able to source components again and/or that we find this is doable later with Alfa-OBD or something of that nature. (Or sub-harness, module, etc.)

😔🙁
If it wasn’t for the fact that he is B.S.ing you, you would have something else to worry about- all 7” instrument clusters are capable of displaying TTPMS. The base instrument cluster can not. If what he is saying is true, then that would mean that all trucks would be built with the base instrument cluster, since they are “lacking and can’t get the correct parts”.
Also, there is only one wiring harness on the truck that is specific to TTPMS, meaning, they build a version with the connector for the rear TTPMS module, and they build a version without it, and that is the rear bumper harness. All the rest of the harnesses on the truck automatically contain the wiring for TTPMS, whether the truck has the option or not. So, there is no such thing as body, or chassis harnesses that do not contain the wiring for TTPMS.
Now, I’m not sure if they use the same supply chain to build the trucks as they do selling replacement parts from mopar parts warehouses, but I have recently bought a rear bumper harness with the TTPMS connector provision. I am also currently building add-on harnesses for several people that are adding TTPMS to their 2021s right now, and they are able to easily source the parts for it. But, I suppose it’s possible they don’t have nearly enough stock of rear bumper harnesses laying around at the warehouses to even bother using them when 2022 production starts.

I agree. I'm fully supportive of going metric and I wish they would....BUT there will have to be a "transition period" of say 10 years where both measurements are listed/posted. Speed limit signs would have to have both readings. I've seen some "test stretches" of highway where both are posted before.

For me personally I know and understand that metric is easier to convert with everything being base-10 and even "different" types of measurements will directly convert back-and-forth. It's just mentally I can "picture" a gallon, a mile, a foot, an inch, etc. but I have to "convert" it in my head to picture the metric equivalent.

Most manufacturing in the US has already been on metric for YEARS
In my industry medical imaging equipment it has been metric for the last 25 years at least. I have a had to deal with Bar for plumbing instead of PSI, Newton instead of foot pounds for the torque wrench, and my non mag titanium tools have always been metric. MRI's are made in Germany but the Nuc Med and ultrasounds are built in the states and are metric too. Later

It did already start. Several early folks are in D1 status. I'm going to check shortly to see if my status has changed

2022 Ram 1500 Big horn Back country (D status)

2016 Dodge Charger scat pack and my wife 2021 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara (2.5" rc lift with 35" duratracs)
I'm surprised anybody relies on the built-in navigation anymore with new vehicles. Bought my wife an Audi just over a year ago and we've used the built-in navigation maybe a half a dozen times. We always use Waze with the Android Auto. The only frustrating thing in her car is that we have to plug in the phone. I'm really looking forward to the wireless Android Auto with the UConnect5.
Waze is the only way[s).
